Leicester Lions Vs Kings Lynn Stars - 15 August

Recommended Posts

Hope you are right but I find it hard to see.Lynn have a graded B FTR for a graded A FTR who was 4th in the list + we have a PL 6 pointer replacing a heatleader.

If Lynn were to get anything from this I think Iversen and Bjerre need to go through the card. This means them having to beat Doyle and Walasek every time. And seeing them Thursday at their home track this wont happen

I think you r'e being a bit pessimistic there. Lynn have the better reserve pairing, it's unlikely Greenwood will take any points of the KL reserves & Ellis was excellent a couple of weeks ago when he rode at Leicester. Swiderski hasn't been at all impressive & is certainly not heat-leader standard, although he might get a couple more points than Rosen. Porsing should out score Summers easily enough. Overall i think it will be close could be 4 points in it either way.

Can't be any blame om Milik for missing tomorrow. We signed him knowing he was in the SEC series.

His schedule was fixed up, it's our problem.

and his excuse for not being there Thursday was ?? And don't say injured- more like couldn't be arsed

Gemini.

As a Lions supporter, I am pleased that you have managed to bring up your dog to go to speedway meetings and not be bothered with the noise. I hope this dosen't put you off going again as I am sure most Lions supporters would welcome you an Lucy with open arms.

It would be only a stuppid dog owner who took his dog along to a meeting when they know there animal jumps at the slightest noise, I know my dog does, she jumps if you drop a piece of paper, so no way would I take mine along to any meeting.

From what I have heard of Lucy she has gone since a few weeks old.

So please do not be put off. You will both be always welcome at BP.

So well done Robert on a good bit of promotion work for Leicester Speedway. I would have gone tonight and for the rest of the season, especially as Coventry was off last night, but your remarks have completely put me off going after just one visit with Lucy now the ban on dogs has been lifted. Strange how you were close enough to hear someone say 'why would someone bring a dog here' so presumably they had seen me but you didn't. Perhaps you also heard Lucy barking at the Lakeside match and causing trouble all night? Well, no that's not likely either because she lay down on her blanket all night good as gold like she always is. The only time she woke up was when the people either side were giving her a fuss. But you know better and she shouldn't be there.

I love dogs, we have just been away at a guest house where the owner had a dog and he was lovely and fussed over by everyone but some may say you shouldnt have dogs in a guest house especially at breakfast but if they arnt a nuisance then whats the problem. I have seen dogs at many speedway events and i think there is one at peterborough who is famous amongst fans and liked by all. I dont own a dog myself but speedway should be more inclusive and welcome dogs. Edited by foreverblue

Thank you for those comments. I have always taken a new pup to the speedway (Coventry first) to see what their reaction is. If they show any signs of distress then of course I wouldn't take them again but I've never had one yet that is bothered - perhaps because I've always had Border Collies who take everything in their stride. This was Molly's first visit (10 years old now) and she doesn't look very upset by the noise to me. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150538409857785&set=a.10150108832387785.305302.550797784&type=3&theater The other dog on the photo is Jemma. I got Lucy in 2010 and she's the dog I usually take with me now. She is absolutely no trouble and even went to sleep during the Sidecar meeting at Coventry recently and that was double the cc's of Speedway bikes. It just upsets me when someone keeps being critical.

Busybody know it all's are best ignored imo. They tend to be sad self loathing individuals...

Yes, well done Kings Lynn. I was following on the updates site and it sounds like it was a good match.

Gem, as a big dog lover Myself I just cannot understand why anyone would want to take a dog to a speedway meeting, it baffles me to why ?

Your right I didn't see you or Lucy but I heard someone comment about a dog there.

You haven't beaten Leicester this season steve lol

Plenty of time yet :t:

If that thought helps you sleep better, then I am happy for you.

Just remember a sudden jolt of reality can be a painful thing.

That's the spirit , you keep telling yourself Leicester are a better team. The weakest Stars side that's possible still can get a win.

Wake me up if you get anything at Monmore, I might pay you a little more respect then.

Updates site is correct.

Well done the Stars, man of the match most definitely Adam Ellis.Didn't expect him to score that he was magnificent.Although Rosen only scored the one point he was always on the pace with the man in third.

If Lambert or Milik still have injuries come Wednesday get Walasek in.He to was very good tonight and at Lynn on Thursday.
