Will Ward Win A World Title Within The Next Five Years A Simple Yes Or No.?

Recommended Posts

Hancock 3

Pedersen 3

Gollob 1

Without trawling through stats I can't recall Hancock's and Pedersen's WC podiums, but would not be surprised if they outscored Gollob.

The stats don't lie.

I think ward will win a world title, the lack of world class riders competing in the current GP circus will no doubt help him.

I'm sure he will but first he needs a GP Challenge top 3 finish or a wildcard.

He has already explained. Unlike you on the other thread when asked how you rank Gollob sbove Pedersen and hancock.

In terms of statistics, Gollob a long way behind, ability & talent Gollob a million miles in front of Hancock & Pedersen. I have been lucky enough to watch Gollob all over Poland when he was at his best, Gollob can make lines & do things on a bike that even Ward can only dream of! Biggest problem with Gollob was the amount of pressure he was under.

Yes and likely more than 1 the kid's a natural talent on the bike and combined with the extra maturity that will come from age and lessons learnt, this will enable him to hit the highest heights.

In my humble opinion.

He's 23 years old - not a kid!!!

Tai won his World title aged 23 and already had the maturity that Ward sadly lacks at the same age - and Darcy will be 25 before he's back in the GPs, whereas Tai may have won the World title for the second time at the same age.

Tai is proving himself a World class winner... Darcy is proving himself as a World class loser...

Sorry for having an opinion. As for your comment it was quite grown up until the final paragraph. Shame.

Is he good enough - Yes

Will he stay out of trouble long enough - No

Somebody however who I think is more likely to is Emil. Pure talent on a bike and more focused. The SGP hasn't been the same without him.

Emil was flying last night, but did Ward beat him 3.1 the night before? just shows you what ability Ward has.

More then likely Emil was on a different bike/engine.

And Emil could have been taking it "easy" so he well fit for the Euros

Ward has something to prove, Emil doesnt.

Lots of reasons to make it difficult to make a sound judgement.

Oh. and I am an Emil fan so difficult for me to hear him being talked down. ;)

Will Ward win a world title in the next five years - theres a good chance he will.

Not bothered about what Ward did in one meeting against Emil the night before. Ward got beaten by Swiderski in the Elite league, does that mean he's more likely to be world champion?

My personal opinion is Emil would be more likely to become world champion if in the series. Whilst both have a natural talent, I prefer watching Emil. He's also more focused on his speedway without distractions.

I remember people asking this same question a few years ago and so far he hasn't. He's only won 1 GP so far.

Emil on the other hand has won 6 GPs and has a bronze medal.

He was up there at the top with Woffy in 2013 but unfortunately injury stopped him from finishing the series when he had every chance of winning it.

And if Ward hadn't have been so stupid last year he had every chance of winning it & like i have said, at one stage last year he was leading the world championship!

Reality is, statistics is all that matters.

i.e. how much you win.
