Hancock Banned After Attacking An "innocent" Man As He Was Out Riding His Bike

I can think of two three in Black and Gold race Jackets that might have copped a ban

Agreed.

I can think of one Sunderland 'Stars' Rider who would have been sitting on his backside in the Stands too.

I wonder who that could be?

A bit of a Legend in these parts. :t::approve:

Your view is to let a regular offender away with murder, even you have to admit Witcher Pedersen has pushed people to the limit for years.Interesting last night i noticed with Laguta he backed off at times knowing this bloke won't back off.

fckusake you talk some bollocks like for a self proclaimed know it all!! Edited by Arson fire

It was on a Monday night. Whether it was televised or not I don't know.

Reason why I asked was it was reported once that in a Televised 'Internationale' from Wimbledon, there had been a big crash, and a Doctor, who was watching at home, realised that a problem injury might not have been spotted, and made him way to the hospital, where it was found that he was right. Thought it was the Brown crash but could be mistaken. Perhaps others might recall the meeting I am talking about.

While I agree Greg should have a minor punishment for his action, as a Greg fan since his first rides at Dudley Wood way back, he should have put NP into another country the hard way and at least a short stay in hospital. It is about time that all and sundry stopped thinking that NP is a god and put a stop to his on track antics, he has always never been at fault in his own head and, funnily, never really got hurt except for the usual Speedway injuries for his troubles.

I'd just like to say I foolishly 'liked' this guys post without reading it properly. I scanned through and didn't notice the disgraceful "short stay in hospital" part.

Unfortunately I don't know how to unlike a 'like' on this forum, or indeed if you're able to, but I certainly would if I could.

Just go back to the post in question and click the 'like' box again, which should be showing as 'unlike'...

Yes, now you mention it, I recall that incident. I'm not sure myself if that was the crash. I'll see if I can find out.

I think the whole thing is being blown out of all proportion. One rider gets pushed wide by another rider, gets the hump and belts him. Hardly unique, its a tough sport and riders involved will hardly ever see the same incident the same way.

Think NP missed a great opportunity by putting in a complaint about the incident. If he had let it go without any further action he could have answered every future complaint by the Monster gang by saying they didn't see him whinging when he was attacked. They seem to have built this up to the stage where they are egging each other on to moan about Pedersen although as somebody else pointed out it does appear that Tai has got away from that this year.

I like NP and think he is great entertainment but he does push people hard, sometimes too hard in my opinion but not as often as his reputation gets him in trouble for stuff that others do without mention. What I don't like about him is that he does whinge when he gets knocked about, if you ride like that you should accept that it's going to happen to you sometimes.

I think the sport will be very much poorer when NP retires and Kildemand makes him look like a saint.

VERY good post.

Does he really though? He complained about Kildemand jumping off his bike (again) at Cardiff but later on when NKI ploughed into him he just took it in his stride. I don't think Nicki complains about anything other than Doyle, Kildemand etc using his reputation to con the ref.

I don't think Nicki should have let it go. Physical violence is never ok and it is regrettable that the referee and the federation didn't act themselves.

It shouldn't be down to the riders to act themselves. Also once the complaint was filed Svemo took way to long to deal with the matter, it should

have been dealt with immediately, not 2 months later.

Greg has been banned for what was essentially 1 meeting so it's not that big of a deal. I think that it is a ban that should suffice as he has been impeccably behaved for nearly 30 years in the sport.

However (and I'm a fan of his) I think he's been a bit of a baby about it all. He should be happy that he's had his pat on the back form lots of the Speedway fraternity, let Nicki know enough was enough, say his apologies for acting in heat of the moment and move on in my opinion. No need to make any more comment. As was mentioned earlier, Tai isn't saying anything just getting his head down concentrating on himself and it's working wonders.

I would say though, to me it seems this season people are definitely giving it back to Nikki more then he's used to. Or am I just imagining it?
