Fantastic news that he is out of hospital after such a series accident and in such a short period of time. I also found this article as well:

This is great news, however, we must remember, Lewis is still under the care and being monitored by Addenbrooks Hospital and he is just starting the long road to recovery. I hope people remember this and keep supporting the Kerr family emotionally and financially. #Come on Lewi.

As has been said, Lewis still has got a long way to go for a full recovery. He has had brain bleeds, and until that stops and gets normal, they will not know if there is to be long term damage.

He has the rest of this season, and the winter break, to fight his injuries, and try and get back to his normal cheerful self. He had a hard first lap, a canny second lap and I hope he continues at the same speed for for the next two laps.

Keep fighting Lewis.

That's huge progress for Lewis though.. :t:

Best wishes Lewis, I'm sure you're in everyone's thoughts on here.. :t:

Speedway star Lewis Kerr thanks fans for their support Speedway star Lewis Kerr has thanked fans for their support after the crash that left him in an induced coma Credit: ITV News Anglia

Norfolk speedway star Lewis Kerr has thanked fans and the public for their support after the horrific crash that left him in an induced coma just over a fortnight ago.

The popular twenty five year old who rides for King's Lynn and Newcastle was flown to hospital after he suffered serious head injuries in a crash at Peterborough.

A fund set up for him has raised over ten thousand pounds.

Remarkably he was able to return home a few days ago and now with help from his wife Jessie he has taken to Facebook to update fans on his condition. He said

Slowly getting my head around everything that's happened and have a long way to go but I will get there. Just want to say a massive massive thank you for everyone's support

– Lewis Kerr

Great news!!! :t:
