van wolfswinkel
Think this one possibly could have been raced... dry in Royal Haydon End now. Working in Zummerrzet all day was dry but seemed a bit wetter the further east I went. Tore up the M5/M4 to get home, and surprised to see the wet roads in Swindonia. Would have been on if Sky were there. Any news on re-scheduled date? Thing is they give these advanced forecasts and are wrong half the time, which affects people's livelihoods...guest houses/hotels/outdoor events etc., Torrential rain and thunderstorms my arsenal! foreverblue
Sheffield don't have a meeting so we'd be ok that day. Robson will hopefully be gone by then! But you're right, we'd have no Danny King. The thing is, this meeting is not anywhere near as important for us as it is for Swindon. We don't need the points, there no guarantee we'd get points even. So what is in it for us to rush to re-arranging it? Just thinking back to 2010 when Swindon screwed us over calling off a meeting weeks before the play-off cut-off but we unable to re-stage it until after the cut-off. Hopefully a bit of Karma comes into play here! Suit Poole if the bees cant fit in their meetings
orion
Can't blame them for calling it off given the forcast and it would have had a big effect on the crowd ..as it happens it's looks like it could have been run .
shinyhine
oh the irony if this match don't take place before the cut off Edited August 13, 2015 by muffinman
Sherborne Green
Please can someone confirm the cut off dates for the EL and PL.
Halifaxtiger
I can see that the attendance would have been affected but, to me, that's no ground to call the meeting off. The only ground is if the weather has been such that it cant be run. I am in favour of early postponements because they benefit everyone and save promotions a fortune. Yesterday, though, was too early.Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I said that yesterday morning . Speedway also had to stop relying solely on met office predictions. Not only did they get it wrong yesterday, they did so disastrously when others got it spot on. This may yet have serious repercussions for Swindon.

mdmc82
Bees will be without King & Robson. Very close to the cut off date as if rained off again then there will be no restage date. Edited August 14, 2015 by mdmc82
TheSmiler
Bees will be without King & Robson. Very close to the cut off date as if rained off again then there will be no restage date. I thought it'd been arranged that Coventry would take priority over King this season as he's a Birmingham asset?
CB252
I thought it'd been arranged that Coventry would take priority over King this season as he's a Birmingham asset? Not if a Coventry fixture is re-arranged on a date that Ippo were already riding. Same for all the others as well I presume.

Bees_Man
Bit of a joke then really. Won't be bothering. I'm guessing Swindon at full strength?!

CB252
Bit of a joke then really. Won't be bothering. I'm guessing Swindon at full strength?! Yep. Doesn't make much difference tbf. Haven't got a cat in hells chance of beating them anyway. An King would have missed last night anyhow.

thecoombdog
Hope the weather isn't poor on that date as well, be awful if Swindon miss out because of it. It could be a meaningless match anyway if we do the business away at BV and KL. Can't see it personally but you never know.
Crazy robin
Yes Swindon are at full strength. Rose should be back as well. I know this is harsh but Swindon would be better keeping Branford in as Lewis has struggled all season in both leagues & is coming back from a bad injury for a speedway rider.
