Kings Lynn V Leicester Thurs 13 Aug

You couldn't make it up could you.

You mean they couldn't get away from their day jobs?

Believe it or not, it was because the un-availability of riders.... ;)

There might well be a small crowd tonight because of the unavailability of fans !

The worthwhile collection boxes for Lewis, could be placed by the entrance, programme sales table, bar, café and track shop, then there would be no need for an interval.

No parade is needed, and referee to put the 2-minutes on the moment the previous race has finished. Races happen that quickly in the British Youth Championship along with the various Amateur Meetings up and down the country, so it's time it happened in our domestic leagues.

Totally agree Mimmo. EL could learn a lot from BYC, not least the attitude of the young lads who almost without exception acknowledge the fans. :approve:

Well you see I'm beginning to think like Trees. Why should the whole of British sport be governed because a few riders want to go to Oz. If that's what they want to do fine but for every one of them there are 10-20 other riders who will not be able to pursue their sport in October or most Fridays and Saturdays.

I genuinely thought the BSPA has made a conscious decision to bring the playoffs forwards due the inclement weather of the past few years.

Turns out I gave them too much credit!

The rain has now started in Heacham. It's not that heavy, and at the moment there is the odd break in the sky, so fingers crossed.

Yeah fingers crossed that it gets heavier! If ever a meeting should be rained off its this farce with 4 home riders and 3 away riders missing!!!

But i suppose it'll be the usual storm just efore the start then a wait of 2 hours while the track is relaid....only for it to pour down again before the end - ridiculous :nono:

The tractor needs to do what it needs to do to keep the track in a safe condition. How the hell did some people cope when Huggy used to come out after every race for a couple of laps cos that is what he felt was required to give the riders a tip top, safe track???

I did say on Monday that this weather event would spare Kings Lynn tonight, the only caveat, is if you have an hour or two of late sunshine, that's all that will be needed to break the convective cap and you could get a couple of thunderstorms with there convective heavy rain..... No sun and you could well be ok....

Also tractors can make it worse, bring back the rakers after each race, far better.

Weather is looking pretty decent but I can't be bothered.

Updates for me

I know a fair few lions fans who can't be bothered with this fixture too.
