Shadders
After last nights Rockets shocker against Edinburgh it's hopefully back to winning ways for the Raiders. Ben Morley is guest for the unavailable Rob Branford. Another warm sunny day. Hopefully the track is in a suitable condition. bolly
I'm looking forward to a good afternoons entertainment. Danyon Hume - all action style, 100% win or fall off trying. Kyle Hughes - getting back to the form when he was challenging for a Rockets place. Luke and Luke engine room of the Raiders scoring regular decent points. Alfie 'Bo' and Sam Woods improving each week. and of course this afternoons guest Ben Morley, not so much a guest, as a reserve No 1, Good luck to all, and hopefully no injuries and no dust )))

Can see nothing but a home win but pretty warm and sunny out there lets hope the track is ok Edited August 9, 2015 by westhamboy66

junior fan
I think the Raiders could shake it up if they can get into the top four by the time the play offs start. Junior
waco
Easy win for the Raiders..Kyle and Ben looking untouchable with a max and a paid max .Though the racing was a bit strung out there was some entertaining moments from Danyon.,while Alfie bo looked good, and also producing the wheelie of the year. down the back straight,,how he stayed on was amazing and still came second in the race I don't know,Luke Priest had bike problems and not at his best...While Luke Chessell really must learn to keep off the dry marbles where he threw away points with unecessary falls..Sam chipped in with a few points as we'l.Mildenhal look weak this season and when Dan Halsey is having a bad one they really struggle, though Conner Mountain put in a decent performance with 9 points.. Sings4Speedway
Imperious Raiders and both Ben & Kyle were first class. Reserves were also good for their returns and if Chessell can calm down and stop chasing the wide (too wide) line they are in very good shape. Not much resistance from and under performing (all season) Mildenhall. In contrast the Raiders should be higher up the table IMO and with the matches in hand and team gelling well look to be serious top 4 contenders. Special mention to the infamous Rye House track. Despite a very hot day there was little dust. Pre planned track work at set times kept the surface as good as ive ever seen it. Think there was one race where it was a little wet and greasy but the rest produced a good surface and think I will definitely be back for NL @ Rye. Their biggest challenge would be how to not finish top. I would say that it would be a huge achievement if Rye House finished 4th behind the power 3. Read somewhere about a Gold Cup competition, presumed it was the top 4 riding for it. Has anyone else heard about this?

Shadders
Yes it's the top 4 who ride in it at the end of the season It's ridiculous that you can go through a whole league campaign, finish a mile ahead of the other sides, but lose a play off final. The NL way is better. The best team over the season wins the league, not one that's come good in the final few weeks
Ben91
The same way the Young Shield used to work in the PL? Makes sense IMO, the top team is the best team over the season, therefore the Champions.
