TheScotsman
Yep - I acknowledged that a while ago. Does depend on him being available for the next 3 matches though otherwise he might be a bit tight for the PO quarter finals. And assumes he doesn't score too highly. Crump99
I, and others, think you have been 'trying' for a lot longer than that. So what does Rick do in speedway that I might be missing. Gone to another club, run by someone else, but puts some money in it. Puts a bit in Peterborough, but someone else runs it. Sounds like running speedway is still not for him despite what you think. So he got out under dubious circumstances and hasn't returned to a sport run by some clowns (we appreciate that there are many good promoters out there) continually wasting his money and making rules up as they go along. As a self proclaimed success story yourself, I'd have thought that you'd appreciate that approach and Rick's continued financial support to our sport. Which teams are you sponsoring this year? I'd say that the organisational culture running the sport is what is not for Frost/Mahoney and they'd probably still be directly running our club if they had the level playing field that never arrived, although going to Dorset was an own goal in the credibilty stakes! Noodles
Good luck Robert, I hope you get better soon. As a Panthers fan I admire and respect your courage and skill and accidents happen to the best of riders of which you are undoubtedly one. Onwards and upwards. We will miss you at the EES and as a fairly frequent visitor to Lynn I will miss there also. You mean the best of riders don't make a complete twit of themselves whilst half a lap on front of their partner and then get mummykins to stick up for them on Facebook. Surely you've got used to missing him at the EES by now? Edited August 11, 2015 by Noodles

Surely you've got used to missing him at the EES by now? I don't think that he made a twit of himself. He just got a bit carried away and had no room for error if the unexpected happened, which unfortunately it did when he picked up some drive that he didn't need. He'll learn. I've not been Lambert's greatest fan but on this occasion I'm prepared to stick up for him for trying to entertain, even if engaging the brain would have been preferable in the circumstances, both personally and for the team. That race was spectacular if watching Lambert, but it was just a question of would he complete 4 laps before he collected the fence? We got the answer. I'm sure that mummykins did that all on her own and if Lambert continues to go up the career ladder then he'll hopefully outgrow and shake off such support & PR fairly quickly anyway, or at least he needs to learn that quickly as well. ashtree123
I agree with CJ but I don't think he should be calling his best young rider stupid in public. Very bad PR coming from CJ, I hope Robert will tell him to do one, win as a team loose as a team, I totally agree that he should not of called Robert stupid on radio or in the newspaper, I certainly hope Trevor Swales looks into this matter for the sake of Peterborough Speedway and Robert!!!!! Why not? There's a team change or 2 coming shortly I hope for Roberts sake that they sack him, then he wont get anymore rubbish from a sad bunch of so called supporters, as that is what he has had all season, he certainly don't get that from Kings Lynn Supporters, Good luck Robert, I hope you get better soon. As a Panthers fan I admire and respect your courage and skill and accidents happen to the best of riders of which you are undoubtedly one. Onwards and upwards. Well I don't think he will miss all the negative supporters, I feel sorry for the true supporters You mean the best of riders don't make a complete twit of themselves whilst half a lap on front of their partner and then get mummykins to stick up for them on Facebook. Surely you've got used to missing him at the EES by now? Not as much as a Complete Twit like you making sad pathetic comments, His mother have just as much right to voice her opinion just like you albeit only on fb cos I haven't seen any response on here from the Lamberts, it seems that Robert also stays clear of the forum, as he put his response and reports on his Racing page. Speedy Recovery Robert, hope to see you back on track soon

Rick/Julia only got out of the sport cos they backed the wrong ones. Where is Sandu these days, apart from shafting Coventry. You should try success sometime, being new to it you might like it. I've still got the fullest support for Rick, and the way he goes about it. He seems shy, but is prepared to be involved on the outside despite the flack he gets. without a lot of drum rolling. Even joining up with his alleged 'wrong doers' shows that all the s**t that was thrown at the 2010 AGM possibly was a bit misjudged. BTW. I continue to run/sponsor the only free training school in Britain with my 9 bikes, and currently TM the Newcastle Gems NJL team, which include 4 of my home grown riders. What are you sponsoring these days.

I am a success but you can't measure my sucess in simple monetary terms, so it may possibly be a bit beyond you and we'll have to continue to gripe in blissful ignorance as that's as far as that conversation goes. Tony501
You mean the best of riders don't make a complete twit of themselves whilst half a lap on front of their partner and then get mummykins to stick up for them on Facebook. Surely you've got used to missing him at the EES by now? If you are a Panthers supporter I suppose your comments are made following the disappontment of Robert losing the race and the team going on to lose the match, which I can understand and even empathise with. However, to describe Robert as a twit is in my view unwarranted and disrespectful to a very talented young rider and his family and friends. He is an exciting and entertaining prospect to watch. He takes chances but in my opinion that is generally a postive thing. As couple of contributors have already opined on this forum he was trying to entertain the good crowd by dominating the race and unluckily hit a patch of dirt. In hindsight it is of course easy to ctricise and say he could and perhaps should have slowed down but give him a break he is only 17 and still learning. I have even seen world champions lose control on occasion. Also, it is more than reasonable and understandable for his mother to support and defend him, (not that he should need defending). Furthermore, I have seen quite a lot of Robert at the Showground thank you. If you are not a Panthers supporter I suppose your unkind and disrespectful comments are meant to provoke and if you have a need or receive some sort of satisfaction from writing them I feel sorry for you. I am a Panthers fan and hope Robert Lambert recovers fully and quickly and remains a Panthers rider for many years to come. I suspect there are many speedway fans who have seen him ride this season and wish he was a member of their team.

Lukas
To be fair Lambert gets stick because of his lack of commitment to us..and only that and rightly so IMO as he has only ridden half his fixtures for us with mostly feeble excuses like the post world cup and Fours fiasco amongst many others. He is one of the best young british riders ive ever seen but based on the way he has messed us about this season id rather not have him here again even though im a fan. This hasn't happened at all with Kings Lynn so they have no reason to give him stick but trust me with the lack of respect he has shown to the premier league he would get the same amount of stick anywhere else so it's nothing to do with people from Peterborough being whingers..give me a team full of committed Simon Lamberts anyday of the week instead. You have the freedom of speech, so why pick on Roberts mum for voicing hers, any parent would do the same, but if anyone take any notice Robert does his own pr on his racing page.
