Panthers V Monarchs 09/08

Recommended Posts

One positive for Panthers is that it looks like grondal will be at reserve come play off time

Will he?

How many meetings has he done?

Is it 5 now?

He needs to have done 4 home & 4 away by the averages cut off date - is that not 20th of the month?

According to the programme there are no more Panthers fixtures until the 21st.

So on that basis he should still be on a 7 through September.

He's ridden 3 home and 2 away. Providing he rides Newcastle at home and Ipswich and Somerset away that's the 4 home and 4 away

He will then be issued an average that will come onto place 7 days after.

BTW great to see Ben Barker yeterday and doing well.

It's different for assessed riders, once they've done 4 home and 4 away then their new average is activated 7 days later.

Fair enough - I was forgetting the 7 day rule.

Is he deffo available for the Newcastle match since that's a Friday?

But also compare his Sunday performances between the Fours and yesterday!!

Looked a completely different rider in the slick dry & dusty conditions.

But not so good when it was damp and heavy.

Not many to beat though, hans. :P

Still can't beat this from the archive:

Tsunami (BSF) said, on 25 Jan 2014 - 2:32 PM: Ha Ha. And i'm the one supposed to be 'putting the boot into' Frost. I have a lot of respect for Rick but speedway was just not for him.

I'll have been trying 2 years in January :D

Apologies, I shall do a 100 Sedgmen & Cook lines today.

I must also give a special mention to Panthers supporter of the day who'd seen his team choke at The Emirates v the 'Ammers (more 'Ammers fans in Peterborough than London) but still managed to bound up the stairs in time to watch the Panthers. That's dedication for you from stiltonpanther, although not sure about keeping the Arsenal shirt on :D

yes it was a bad day all round but pleased to make both events.

Any news on Robert Lambert ?

from his facebook---

I am sorry for my late update from the premier league meeting against Edinburgh at Peterborough. I got 7 points out of 3 races. in my 4th heat I crashed when I was in front. I didn't finished the meeting trough pain in my wrist and neck. I went to the hospital straight away. I been there from 9 to 5 a clock in the morning. I have suspected broken scaiford and a compression fracture in my back. I'll give you a update about my injury in the next days

Good luck Robert, I hope you get better soon. As a Panthers fan I admire and respect your courage and skill and accidents happen to the best of riders of which you are undoubtedly one. Onwards and upwards. We will miss you at the EES and as a fairly frequent visitor to Lynn I will miss there also.

I, and others, think you have been 'trying' for a lot longer than that. :P

So what does Rick do in speedway that I might be missing. Gone to another club, run by someone else, but puts some money in it. Puts a bit in Peterborough, but someone else runs it. Sounds like running speedway is still not for him despite what you think.

Not quite, he will have an effective average 7 days after he completes 4H & 4A.
