Berwick V Sheffield - August 15th

Recommended Posts

@the_cookstar: 4 riders injured in 1 meeting and the home Captain says the tracks fine and even slick 😳 great job of looking out for everyone's safety ✊💦💦💦

More like the home captain beat him in a race he expected to win and he let his immaturity come to the fore yet again.

.

Hardly the tracks fault going by updates , one rider injured when fenced by Bates , nothing new there, another injured when Garrity crashes , nothing new there , a rider injured when he runs into a rider who loses a front chain , pure accident.

Junior

He's just throwing a line out to see how many bites he gets , sitting back now and laughing at all the numpties throwing abuse at him as he blocks them

on the subject of the track it was interesting to note that most of the times where inside the previous fasted time of the season , not bad for a crap track

Honestly, I wasn't at this meeting but to say that Cook is a wind up merchant or immature is too much....he is an experienced rider and for him to make these claims then it should be heard! If Berwick are in trouble then maybe they should listen to the ones "at the top".

How does Liam Carr getting clattered into the fence by Bates ( who was never 100 % in control all night ) , as for Garrity its not if he comes off its when mean there's a problem

Doolan is more expierianced than Cook so I will listen to him.

Cook breaks track record,Bates takes out Carr,Garrity pulls his massive locker and every body falls over him( he is a liability ) Jorgensen lost chain on run to 1st bends Sissis cannot avoid him.The track had a little dirt but was smooth and IMO had nothing to do with crashes.Best the track has been all season IMO .Bellego and Klindt looked like juniors.Times were the fastest of the season all meeting ,Cook really is a plonker of the 1st degree.Took the guest Booking though.

You're not going to believe me: but, I completely agree with you. Absolutely spot on post.

For Cook to take half a second off the track record, then claim there is anything wrong with that track is absurd.

I think Cook has an elevator, it just doesn't go to the top floor...

After heat 5/6 the Sheffield team wanted the track changed or the meeting abandoned, Kev told them where to go, Cook rode the track fine all night, he's just a bad loser, Kev outrode him completely then he wasn't going to shake his hand, Klindt didn't want to be there and Bellego didn't look as if he did either, Arthur Sissis was unbelievable, Garrity needs to stop riding like an absolute toolbox and consider the riders around him's safety and Bates shouldn't of been allowed to continue after that, hope Liam, Arthur and Mathias are okay, the Sheffield riders tried to bully tonight, disgraceful, nothing was wrong with the track, they just needed to ride it with a bit of sense instead of going flying about hitting people and locking up

Cookie is a wind up merchant, but at least he gets people talking, and deep down its just a bit of fun and the Berwick fans seem to bite more than others.

And deep down every Premier league would welcome him with open arms if he said that he wanted ride for their club.

As for the meeting Best Wishes to all the injured riders firstly.

On my own team's front I would have rather taken no points a defeat and a fit 6 riders coming back to Sheffield, we are edging closer and closer to the Play Offs, but as things stand at the moment we rapidly running out of riders, and with the Monarch's due on Thursday we could well do without a patched up team.

Little bit concern with Bellego and Klindt, Bellego really needs to pick up his game away from Sheffield, has and can be a match winner around Sheffield but his away performances have been poor and this season his away average is below both Josh Bates and Arthur Sissis.

I suppose a win is a win, but it feels very hollow to be honest.

Spot on.

Bates was truly disgraceful. I was right in line with it, and it was the most reckless, dangerous, vindictive move I have witnessed in 30+ years of watching speedway.

When the track is grippy but consistent it shows who has talent and bike skills and Sissis certainly has both unlike some other riders on display. Tatum is right in his comments about Garrity he may be exciting to watch but really needs to get a it more in control of the bike.He seems to walk away from some nasty crashes a lucky lad IMO

How close Doolan was able to sit behind Cook to take him round 3rd/4th bend just backs up what you say.

It was a track where the skilful riders were able to put on a show.

Garrity is going to have a bad one if he doesn't tidy up.

Doolan did exceptionally well not to go over the top of him.

Cooks a knob, many people knew that before, now it's confirmed.

Some people really should stay off of social media
