screm
The answer for Claus is to have the operation now giving him a longer period to recover, that advice should come from the club, as he is of little use if not totally fit, and could agrevate the injury even more. It would make sense, Vissings Polish club KSM Krosno are having about as good as season as Berwick are and are very unlikely to make any play off, unsure as to where his Danish club stands in their league. allthegearbutnaeidea
One of the problems being he rides foe several clubs here and abroad + guest bookings so that could mean losing a lot of potential earnings, like you say is there such at thing as a sensible speedway rider in that situation!!He won't pick up many/any guest bookings as the chances are he won't be scoring a load of points every meeting as he was before his injuries
Fromafar
He won't pick up many/any guest bookings as the chances are he won't be scoring a load of points every meeting as he was before his injuriesHow do you that as a fact? He will have an average that suits guest bookings IMO.Just hope he doesn't come back too soon if he is not fit.
topsoil
I know it can, but have you ever known a sensible speedway rider When you're riding a bike at 60-70 mph with no brakes, sense goes out the window :-) The doc says a month, you can half it for a speedway rider. My own personal feeling is that I would only like to see Claus back if he is 100% fit, otherwise he isn't doing himself or the club any good. But try telling that to a man who needs to ride to earn a living.

The lesson must surely have been learned when Ben Barker came back to soon from his early season injury, though IMO in the case of Vissing his absence from the team should've been addressed as running with R/R for so long has done the team no good.

crescent girl
Although not specified in e-Newsletter, Bandits will be operating r/r at No 4.
allthegearbutnaeidea
It says in the newsletter that he's riding at 4? They have mentioned a lot that he will be back for August despite most fans knowing that that would not be the case, the promotion even promised us that we wouldn't have to put up with r/r anymore, brilliantly done
havenagotahope
Riders waiting in the wings just needs a little change in averages and big John say's go interesting to see if this will happen could be close to bottom of the league by Saturday
Fromafar
Another update from Claus himself would make the picture clearer would it not?Not that anybody would want him back to early if he is not fit. screm
Riders waiting in the wings just needs a little change in averages and big John say's go interesting to see if this will happen could be close to bottom of the league by Saturday Lets just be grateful that Redcar and Scunthorpe are below us, though if Berwick`s losing streak continues that may change. Black Angus
C'mon people, let's be positive here. The club is encouraging people to support speedway at Berwick. I got my newsletter yesterday, and read this: While awaiting the call, or calls, which might help assure the future of the sport in the borders, there is something everyone can do on Saturday night to reassure potential investors of time and money of our club's viability -- simply turn up! A bigger, happier crowd will reassure the bosses that their efforts to ensure continuation of speedway in Berwick should be redoubled. More people on the terracing and in the stand on Saturday will give the Dixon Building Bandits' riders an incentive to get the team back to winning ways. An increased attendance should also convince a potential buyer, or parties considering investment by joining the board to ease their load, that Saturday night racing is still very much a worthwhile proposition. If that newsletter is read by the 500 or so subscribers, and we all feel good about attending speedway on a warm sunny night, it could brighten everything up considerably. Too much negativity around here. C'mon the mightys!
