Berwick 2016

Recommended Posts

You forgotten the time Chris Kerr came off 4 times on the second bend, Mind those were the days when Berwick had a race track that visiting teams dreaded. oh ! the goold old days

The 2nd bend always got a bit of business back in those days.

There was two seperate conversations going on, one about Seb's injury and one about Chris Kerr, you would think if Dandelion said broken neck that you would know who he was talking about

Clearly I didn't. If any offence was caused it was totally unintentional.

Coming from tracks like Costa Messa I guess Shielfield was a wee bit of a culture shock to Kerr , he did improve on his subsequent visits but after a debut like that that's not hard to do

Chris was the only rider that described to me the problem a visiting rider had with the 2nd corner, after his expanation I had a much better understanding

When did Chris Kerr break his neck? Must have missed that one.

Not a joke. Genuine enquiry.

I'm not even sure who Chris Kerr is as I've not been going to speedway that long :P But I meant Seb's injury :( It's easy to get mixed up in two conversations on the same thread, especially when I only say 2 words, so I'm not surprised you got confused

The fact it's too tight and disappears? :P

Thats why it's always best to quote the post you're replying to. It saves a lot of confusion and argument.

I understand, I'm sorry, I hadn't read any of the other conversations other than the post before talking about Alden, so I just wrote that before I was off to work, sorry for causing any confusion

With Seb Aden obviously out for the long term ,now the promotion are going to need to look at their options , guests may work in the short term , but not all of them work well do they ? Should we look to the future and bring in another new asset and get him a proper average with an eye to next season or go down the tried and tested route , personally I prefer the first option.

As long as Alden remains our No1 in the averages then guests will fill the gap adequately, obviously if that changes then I am sure the club will already be looking at possible alternatives. I agree with you, I`d like to see a new rider come in with an eye on next season, though now we have Poland, Sweden in full swing, add in SGP Qualification, SEC Qualification, Under-21 Finals, getting any kind of decent rider to commit to our fixtures will be a problem, for example our new rider Hummell will miss our fixture at Rye House next Saturday but it looks like this could be the only meeting he misses.

Mikkel Andersen that qualified from Belle Vue for the WU21, Dick Barrie noted his name in the programme as one to watch and keep an eye on

If Mikkel is to race over here he is perhaps the new signing that Redcar are looking to make, certainly make sense with his brother in the team already.

Alden has the lowest average of any number one in the Premier League, so finding a decent guest will be difficult. The only rider I can see that you can use at Rye next week who may score decent points is Ludvig Lindgren. Jack Holders is also a possibility. Edited by Shads

As its Rye House maybe we could sign up Michal Palm Toft for a special appearance.
