Berwick 2016

Exactly, which is why it would then be unfair that they weren’t afforded the same news re the club that others were, as has been said, it isn’t a big deal. I was only quoting your post, it wasn't me who made the comment re true die hard fans.

Is the statment not true, the 150 that were able to attend, are indeed die hard fans, does not say that other fans were not die hard fans aswell. It is only yourself that read something, that you interpited something that was not there .

For someone who doesn’t want to create fractions or elements of the support it’s an absurdly naïve statement that’s left open to interpretation.

Saturday was a really good night, 150 plus diehard Berwick Bandits fans under one roof. This was a good opportunity for the Promotion of the club, or a representative, to come along and explain to those attending what is happening in 2016, epecially after so much uncertainty generated by the club. More importantly a golden opportunity to build bridges with the BSSC, who have never wavered in their support of helping speedway at Berwick.

My point exactly, not many occasions where you get that amount of Berwick`s loyalist customers under one roof. No need to to subscribe to a news letter, no need to look at the official club site, no need in fact to have access to the internet, the chance was there to hear straight from the clubs owner/promotion.

Never mind, we move on, with some rules now known for next season, points limit etc, maybe it wont be to long before we hear of rider signings.

Ben Barker, really?

Looking at other threads it seems there is fairly hefty rumours linking Barker with a move back to Plymouth, though he did say that he wanted to return to Berwick at some point as he had unfinished business up here, maybe Berwick could give him that opportunity.

I think it would geographical sense riding there or somewhere down south, Must have been a hang out travelling for meetings with Berwick being his only income

Like Gjedde didn't deliver and was a big disappointment, needs to sort his kit out if he is to be a top rider at PL level

would still take him back if on bikes similar to the ones Peterborough gave him instead of the mopeds that big John gave him

How about something like this ?

Jorgensen 7.8

Pjiper 6.53

Barker 7.56 / Alden

Doolan 6.95

Vissing 7.54

Garcia 3.00

Wajknecht 3.00

42.38

Depends what Aldens on but that total is with Barker.

I believe Coty will put on 2 points with his own bikes over here and I think Wajknecht will be one of the best NL 3 pointers!!!

What's people's thoughts ??

Maybe I am being totally naive here, but I always thought a rider supplied his own machinery. I know promoters will try and get sponsorship to help riders fund machinery, but should it be up to promoters to buy the riders their machinery?

It depends on the contract. It may be part of the deal. May get machinery supplied to them, but get paid less. Same with van, mechanic(s), etc.

It happens sometimes in Poland too, so riders can just fly in without having to worry too much about the travel arrangements as far as bikes are concerned.

Depends on deal rider makes with Promoter surely. Many variations I would imagine. Edited by Fromafar
