berniev123
From past experience of the fabled Golden 'Ommer................anybody in the field who can get 13 or over will win it and deserve it!
Sings4Speedway
That's as good a line up for a NL individual event that I have seen (based on quality & ability round Perry Barr). Not just for potential winners but throughout the field. Theres a decent chance both Greenwood's will be outside the top 8 how crazy does that sound! Guest
Wasn't the 'Golden Hammer' a speedway classic event at one time? Competed for and won by speedway's top line riders? Edited August 8, 2015 by Guest
berniev123
Gustix says "Wasn't the ;Golden Hammer' a speedway classic event at one time? Competed for and won by speedway's top line riders?" My answer..............Yes when my beloved Heathens were in the 1st Division! It started in about 1977 by Dan the Man that resurrected Cradley from Cinderella's to superstars invented it. When we reopened in 2010 is was reinstated but this time at 3rd+ Division level and is probably a far stronger meeting than the NLRC and still runs 'til today or...............! Whilst the line up is strong, you can't compare it to NLRC as this line up has too many reserves and second strings.
ChaosTheory22
I think it will be 1) Adam Ellis 2) Bradley Wilson Dean 3) Max Clegg Sadly can't make it that night. Hope all the lads have a safe meeting.Hoping someone will text on updates
pete cc
Whilst the line up is strong, you can't compare it to NLRC as this line up has too many reserves and second strings. The line up has always had most of the heathens team in it , As the home side you want people to come & watch. The rest are all invited & available. The Brummies will also have their own meeting near the end of the season & i'm it will have at least 5 of their riders in that.
teaboy279
I understand that, but I felt Kents decision to only put our top 4 in the laurals made for a far stronger field. Not knocking the meeting at all, cradley reserves will score a few points anyway. I was just contesting the fact that the line up is better then that of a NLRC meeting. berniev123
From my maths & GS averages there are at least 14 Heat Leaders of 6 points or above from a variety of teams in the 2015 NL 'Ommer. The only August reserve is Moggo! Some of the other NL teams have riders who are far worse than the Unattached riders at #1 who are obviously NL August GS #1's. Do you, teaboy, understand anything about GS & averages, Perry Barr speciality and riding positions? I doubt it! Once a Heathen Always a Heathen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 'Ommer is the hardest Individual to win in the NL since 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Kent Laurels was run over less Heats & Riders of an obviously less ability when you look at the riders involved in the 'Ommer! The Laurels was won by Simon Lambert who is no more than the any of the 3 Unattached riders Cradley HQ have invited this year and as for the rest of the Laurels field. WELL? By the way, a certain Mr. Morley is involved so he must be well thought of up here in the West Midlands otherwise Kent may not have an 'Ommer competitor as he ain't good enough or unavailable! No apologies at all, just cheesed off! Discuss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
