westhamboy66
Was disappointed that the stadium didn't seem to have changed much from the building site when I was last there near the start of the season but hopefully the big changes will take place over the winter. Was somewhat surprised to see Kennett completely vanish on turn 3 in the first race!! It was as if he had never been in the race. Is it normal that riders just go under the bouncy castle there? I accept there is probably a decent amount of grassy run-off area on the other side but I was on the first bend so couldn't tell. Yes most riders do go under but at least there is no eighteen inch thick concrete wall and armco barrier to hit unlike many tracks, I still believe that at Rye House the catch fencing was safer. Yes it is still a building site and despite comments to the contrary from Len it remains a building site with no viewing possible on any of the bends or most of the back straight. As far as progress with this in the winter is concerned it's the winter weather that is always used as an excuse for a lack of building progress so i wouldn't hold my breath. Glenn
I doubt Warren Scott would've invested into the project and then leave it to rot. I'm pretty sure he has major plans for the stadium and Rye House Speedway. There is a stadium manager overseeing the day to day running of the club. Problem is what happens if, heaven forbid, Len Silver can't oversee the speedway side for one reason or another. Who takes over then? What I keep thinking if it's Silvers last year as stated. An off the cuff comment I heard about Go Karts raised its head again!
