Belle Vue Aces V Poole Pirates 03.08.15

Recommended Posts

No average fixing tonight BV were just better. Sharper from the tapes.

Some good racing tonight, Scott's pass in heat 13 was a belter.

Thanks to wolbert as well paid for 8 points can't argue with that.

It's not over till it's over people, it's neck and neck for that last spot

We were simply beaten by the better team tonight! Some

of our riders performances were well under par. And people saying about average dropping why would we do that? August averages are already set and changes can only

be made until the 28th of August so winning or coming last won't make a difference to averages for changes.

Take a bow Scott Nicholls....

Heat 13, inches from the safety fence, the match virtually won with Zagar in front and he produces 'the pass of the season'....!

(Don't need him involved with Team GB though, no young Brit could learn from him)... :o

Good crowd at BV tonight, very solid team performance, if they reach the play offs and can deliver a team effort like that, not many would fancy taking them on home and away...

When you compare tonight to the first meeting v Poole it is remarkable how easily Belle Vue won tonight.

Yesterday's tragic circumstances led to Josh's understandable withdrawal and while Kevin did a great job as his replacement his 6 points was well short of Josh's contribution last time. Add to that Matej only scoring 11 compared to 16 last time and you have to wonder how Poole not only lost but we're pretty much thrashed.

Add in that they were chasing vital points as they strive to finish top (as if lol!) and it becomes a complete mystery.

On the other hand it could be that top spot means nothing (like I keep telling you) and they were just testing engines and stuff or even worse deliberately trying to drop their averages again, a bit stupid with rolling averages but old habits die hard eh?

Having said that you can take nothing away from The Aces performance which was solid again from 1 to 7.

Final word about heat 13, Scott hunted down Janowski and swooped round him on turn 2 on the last lap in a fantastic ride.

A post without sychophants or pkoc mentioned thats a first Edited by foreverblue

Well done to the Aces on a good win tonight. A solid team performance backing up a top-performing number 1. Scott returning to top form meant it was a fairly easy win in the end. Heat 6 was pivotal with the Monarchs Aces pairing negating a tac ride from the SGP stars. A special mention for Kevin for coming in as a late replacement and picking up a solid 6 paid 8 from 4.

Must've been difficult for a lot of the riders after yesterday's events (thoughts are with Lewis). Huge respect for them all.

A defeat will be like a win if it stops swindle getting in the playoffs

:t:

. Your falling apart double D , Swindon are the last thing u should worry about , SteveBrum will be very amusing at Poole's expense , Belle Vue will be strong challengers too ,

Well done to the Aces , top 4 bound. You deserve it guys.

Not sure about that..

Some close matches this year between the two with Jason Garrity being the obvious difference between the two..

His paid 35 points including three DNF's at BV in the four matches has had a big impact..

Should he be missing for any reason and I would suggest Cov wouldnt be too keen on taking on the Aces...

I personally always feel more confident when we go to Belle Vue than any other track. Our riders love it.

You say about Garrity who is brilliant on your track but on our last visit he only scored 5 as gave Belle Vue a head start by breaking down in his first 3 rides. We had no Sarjeant through injury and also Joonas had bike problems all night scoring 2 and yet we still got the draw.

As for at home, Andersen scored a very poor 1point and we still won.

I have no doubt that IF Coventry stay top and Belle Vue make the play offs (which I hope they do) then we will pick them.

Another pathetic performance from Poole, especially from Holder ......... 3 points from your no.1 AGAIN!! Bet if it was a GP he wouldn't score just 3 points!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope they don't get Belle Vue in the playoffs as they STILL haven't beaten them home or away this season!!!!!!!

holder just put another nail in kasper s coffin...like matt said we cant carry passengers...unless its holder maybe hes manipulatin his ave to make it easier to fit MAGIC ward (well he can draw a crowd without a pencil)himself and 3 others next season

Not quite sure about all this talk about Gomolski as main one to go. He didn't score well last night but his worst track. At least most weeks he is scoring near his average, Holder is shocking away from home and looking even worse than Hans at times (that takes some doing)

Holder is riding really well in the GPs and was impressive in Sweden so why is he struggling so much for the club he has been with so long and on tracks he knows well. Is he trying to get his average down to under 7 for next years team building? Is he just really struggling away? Is his mind on the coming SGP? I guess only he knows.

I was surprised to see Starke scored 0. He was good when he guested for us at Belle Vue.

On a positive for Poole, much better performance from Dakota North who sounds like he was your rider of the night. He definitely scores better as a 2nd string
