Shadders
Rockets have Robert Lambert as guest in place of Edward Kennett who races for Lakeside AWAY at Leicester. I was under the assumption that he'd only miss away meeting when Lakeside were at home. I don't think this is a rearranged fixture, so the question is... why? hammer1969
Len's statement on 27th March clearly says "I am assured by Lakeside that we will not have to use any guests for meetings at home". So why has this happened? perhaps Len won't be so quick to enter into a gentleman's agreement next season. Nothing against Robert Lambert but he hasn't the experience of Eddie I just hope he can score well for us.
HadrianDog
How many threads for the same meeting do we need. Dantodan opened one several hours previous. On topic, I doubt that Lambert will let you down, bugger it.
westhamboy66
Whether on not suitable guests are used is the thin end of the wedge. This Gentleman's agreement was ( we were told) that Edward would not miss this meeting or was that a smokescreen to appease the fans. To be quite honest ii don't feel we deserve a guest to cover. Never known a situation like it and given that Edward has been the one saving grace who we should expect to be available every week is more of a joke. Pathetic and goes against the grain in the PL. Fans shafted once again and i am very close to saying enough is enough and after 39 years as a Rye Fan that says it all Len's statement on 27th March clearly says "I am assured by Lakeside that we will not have to use any guests for meetings at home". So why has this happened? perhaps Len won't be so quick to enter into a gentleman's agreement next season. Nothing against Robert Lambert but he hasn't the experience of Eddie I just hope he can score well for us. Hopefully there won't be a next season with Len at the helm, his is after all no longer owner and is only Co Promoter now How many threads for the same meeting do we need. Dantodan opened one several hours previous. On topic, I doubt that Lambert will let you down, bugger it. You don't have to either read or add your thoughts do you? Whether or not Lambert is a decent guest is irrelevant .
hammer1969
Sorry to be picky but just had a quick look at other threads and the one started by Datodan on 22nd was re the match Newcastle v Rye on 26th at Newcastle when Eddie was in the line up to ride, this thread was started for Rye V Newcastle on 1st August when Eddie won't be riding for us and most of us Rye House fans are pretty fed up with the fact that he will be riding for Lakeside when we were told at the beginning of the season by Len Silver that he had been assured by Lakeside Eddie wouldn't miss any of our home meetings which is now what will happen on Saturday, no wonder Speedway is losing fans. I sincerely hope Lambert doesn't let us down, I know he will do his best but he really doesn't have Eddie's experience yet. If the same Danny Maassen and the same Luke Bowen turn up on Saturday that turned up at Berwick last week we may have a chance of winning - fingers crossed. Alan_Jones
Hopefully there won't be a next season with Len at the helm, his is after all no longer owner and is only Co Promoter now  Unfortunately it's not quite that simple as he still owns a percentage and may be around for another couple of seasons until Warren gains voting rights. Last time i looked it was one season to have an experienced Promoter along side a new one. A percentage ??? so that is what 1 or 99 ? No sorry i have been a staunch supporter of Both Rye and silver for a very long time but in my opinion and i am not alone enough is enough. I don't like being lied to by someone who is happily taking my money each week. His recent press statement totally contradicts what he said earlier in the season about Kennett. His comments regarding improvements to the stadium being noticeable by the summer is also untrue. I am not in the know as that doesn't interest me but what i do know is his time is up and if he is still around next year then i doubt i will be, My love for Speedway is greater than my love of all that is Rye House.

One year with a 'minder', three years before being able to vote at the AGM. From different directions I've heard 20% and 25%. Spending on the stadium stopped for a while due to some problems but that I understand has been sorted but there's not much that can be done during the season without causing major disruption. During the winter the temp stand is being demolished to be replaced by new changing rooms with seating above and the seating on the back straight and the bends should be sorted. Have been saying that for the last 4/5 years and remember you constantly licking Silvers behind for most of them saying there's no one better.. How some peoples views change eh. What with Kennett missing a home meeting it just shows how inept silver is at his job. The old fool has bent over backwards to do another club a favour at the cost of his own and lied in the process.

Ben91
I see Len seems to be complaining about fans having their own opinions in the local press again too. Maybe for once he should listen to the people paying their way to watch the team each week rather than tell them they're wrong constantly. We won at Berwick yes but they seem to be a team in crisis at the moment. Â What I've noticed in press releases this year too is an acceptance that we are going to go to away tracks and lose. As a travelling fan you don't want to hear that despite how true it may be. Â Â A very harsh judgement of one of Speedway's better Promoters. Â He may have been when he was at Sunderland but times change and if you're good at your job you will change with them. Hob Nob
I for one am totally fed up with all the bull that comes out of Lens mouth. I find it hard to believe that Warren Scott a so called successful business man doesn't smell a rat by now, how stupid can one person be? Rye is in a steep decline in my opinion & I for one will not put up with too much more of the bull s**t
dantodan
Genuine error, didn't see the other thread.  No Problem Shads. It is easy to miss a thread started by someone else. I will try and upstage one of yours (just for fun)  Newcastles team of seconds strings are hard to predict. I say a team of second strings but steve Worrall has now an average of 8.08 so maybe i should drop the team of second strings ploy ok.  Rye could be in for a close match or even a shock (or is this just wishful thinking!)  Newcastle Diamonds expected line-up (From the Official Diamonds Website) 1. Steve Worrall 8.08 2. Christian Henry 4.97 r/r 3. Lewis Kerr 7.16 4. Anton Rosen 6.00 5. Ludvig Lindgren © 7.02 6. Simon Nielsen 4.04 7. Rafal Konopka 3.

Arson fire
Connor mountain in for Neilsen. Â So we signed Aarnio knowing his average would go down a point after one meeting?... And out of his 28 day contract he will miss meetings?......Geordie Masterstroke
