Lakeside Vs. Robins

Recommended Posts

I am sure Zengota rode 100% for the Aces....

The ridiculous thing though is why you would expect someone to perform 'out of his skin' to deprive himself, and his team mates the chance to make more money and get some success later in the season!

I Think it's more ridiculous to he would under preform to stop himself himself money at the time ...at the time of the match Swindon chances of making the play were pretty slim. it not intiil 2 away wins this when they were underdogs in both matches that has gave them a chance of making them . I said people put find to much stock into thinking people care about there clubs and where they come in the league .

It's called being consistent. I have slated Poole in the past for doing exactly the same thing (manipulating averages, dodgy engine failures) and it's something I detest.

Nothing 'sour' about those comments even if Ward had chosen Wolves I doubt we would be challenging for a top 4 place. I've already accepted our season is over so I can hardly be sour as I couldn't care less who wins or makes the play offs.

However at least I am consistent in my views and maybe some Swindon fans know what most Poole fans must feel when their club accused of abusing the rules (simply because there is no rule to say you can't underperform to lower averages to bring in a new rider doesn't make it right)

You consistently talk about manipulating averages in meetings you have not attended. Batch's confidence coming back from his crash against Poole was very low, if he got out of the gate, he was away & usually won the heat by a mile but if he missed the gate he was loath to take chances & lost ground. He had not fully recovered from the accident when he had a bad fall in the GP, which really shook him up again. In the meeting against Belle Vue, he had genuine engine problems as anyone on the back straight will confirm. You do not lead a race for 3 & 3/4 laps going full out & then pull up in the finishing straight, you would pull up early & save your engine. You are just trying to base your theory around the scores & not the facts. Ok, so it helped us out but it does not account for the bad luck & injuries, we have had ever since the 1st meeting with Poole. I take it from your attitude that Hans Andersen must be manipulating his average for next season!

What has whether I attended or not have a thing to do with it? ?

Weeks prior to Darcy even being ready to return the rumours were that he was Swindon bound yet the Robins already had 2 riders over 7.

It was obvious somebody would have to get below 7 for it to be even a possibility. So batch must have been on strict instructions as the closest to 7.

Next you will tell me that they were genuine engine failures.

Many speculated what would happen (Batch dropping his average) long before Darcy signed but now you would want me to believe they were genuine only because I wasn't there.??

I could have told you weeks ago that would happen, and yet low and behold no iffy engine problems since - now isn't that amazing! !

Some of you are fast turning into Poole excusers who ignore the obvious seen by the rest of Speedway kind. However back in the real world they were as dodgy engine failures as you can get but feel free to ignore the true points of Darcy signing.

I guess we need to start calling it red tinted glasses. :t:

And Freddie Lindgren....

Just how has Freddie's dropped average benefited Wolves this year? ?

At least there were no dodgy engine problems causing his fall in average.

A loss at home to Poole in 3 weeks and the Hammers will have only won half of all their home meetings, that is even worse than the Hammers performance from 2006 when they finished bottom of 11 and Big Ron was in charge!

I agree with the comments about giving Rosco full credit for the moves. He has single-handedly changed the dynamics of the Elite League this season. He really is the leagues own Bret Hart, 'The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be'

'Single-handedly'?? Yeah right!!

Was just putting it in context as it's clear you have red tinted specs on these days.

Have I? Well if you mean I support my team, then guilty as charged.

To make life less boring, you have a team that makes Lakeside and Leicester look good this year

With regards to being whiter than white - it's their new washing powder that has done that - nothing to do with Swindon

Steve Brum , I ain't been on this forum long , but u r very witty and clever with your winding up , I've enjoyed your efforts at this , Swindon is my team but I don't mind what u r saying , it appears you have many issues with us but that is your right , I'm sure there are plenty on here who have suffered your stinging comments but I just picture u as a bit of a joker , keep it up , it does just mean that maybe Swindon are having a resurgence which I'm very happy about , I think you are a Wolverhampton fan , I'm sure good times are around the corner , who knows if and when Darcy goes we might go after Tai , enjoying the banter , keep it coming

I don't think you are touching a nerve at all. I would bet anything no one gives a flying f what you think. People are slating you because you post the same old line every time.

I wouldn't mind being the new Poole. League title after league title. Yes please.
