A ORLOV
Lakeside were also patched up tonight and it helped Swindon not having Krcmar in tonight (even though isn't his meeting tomorrow?) RR scored more than Morris would have on this track In fairness to Wolves & Stevebrum, Wolves didn't have to use a TR The TR was not needed though, it gave us 3 extra points but we won by 7, anyway it is fun winding up Stevebrum and I hope he realises it is just a bit of banter, the same as I accept from him.

To some decent Robins it's just banter indeed.
Crazy robin
Why do clubs keep fans so much in the dark as there has been nothing since Eduard signed that said he'd miss this meeting & then it's open to debate. In the world we live in & with local papers & our own club web-site this was handled poorly once again.
scottyfan
That's why we got a number 1 , sets the standard and the others follow , OK we needed 8-1 to pull it back but they kept it on and found there set ups , Darcy Ward I hope is enjoying his new role and one he wants to keepThat's why we got a number 1 , sets the standard and the others follow , OK we needed 8-1 to pull it back but they kept it on and found there set ups , Darcy Ward I hope is enjoying his new role and one he wants to keep Hardly a new role for Darcy as it's the same one he has at Poole, and will be keeping it at Poole in 2016 thank you very much!!

foreverblue
I dont thjnk it is a certainty that krcmar couldnt have beat lakeside reserves and score as many a Blackbird.Overall a fantastic and very surprising result for the robins.

Judging by how poor he was at Wolves I'd say he would have been lucky to beat either of the reserves.

Starman2006
What a great away win,i thought maybe being competetive and keeping it close if we get a point i would be more than happy. Some clowns on this forum doubting Rosco said getting Ward was rIsky what a joke Some Clowns on here no names mentioned didn't even want him in the Swindon team. Still, they won't have to worry about that next season..

E I Addio
It does look like a easy Lakeside win but you never know Zengota might suddenly decide he can ride the track and score well. Absolutely no doubt at all in my mind Zengota was deliberately not bothering when he guested for Belle Vue a few weeks ago, given the play off situation. On that occasion he scored 1,1, F , 0, 0, compared with riding for Swindon he scored 0,,1,3,3,2, . When he guested for Belle Vue he was clearly not dropping his clutch until they had all gone in the first two rides. In his last two rides he was making the gate leading for 2/3 laps then letting everybody through. Pretty blatant IMO .

Bit of a naïve view ...Riders ride for money and in this modern really little interest or how there team is doing or who going to make the play offs ...The last time Zengota rode for Swindon at Lakeside the only lakeside riders he beat were the reserves and most speedway fans would have told you that he was a poor choice of guest for Belle Vue the other week .and his score would not have been a shock for anyone . Reading the topic on the Lakeside Belle Vue match the comments before the match why were Belle Vue using him as a guest as it's one of his poorest track and after there was not one fan who said anythink his leaving the gate slow or not trying . Sore loser, in my opinion.
rudger
Hardly a new role for Darcy as it's the same one he has at Poole, and will be keeping it at Poole in 2016 thank you very much!! but it is , Poole were better than Swindon and still are at the moment when Darcy rode for them , they know what they are doing cause they are class riders , Swindon in most recent years have not had too many apart from 2012 when it clicked , we need to go back to the days of the class of Lee Richardson , the best British rider in recent times , and Adams , if we can't keep Ward then maybe Holder or Majic would be in the market and I'm positive we would be in the mix , Poole are the most attractive team in the league and have been for many seasons that's why riders like to ride for them and as fans of opposition can't stand them although we admire them secretly , Ward has done it all his Elite league career , your right , but we ain't seen it too often at Swindon in recent times
marko
Sorry but the old "riders don't earn if they don't score" has been completely shot down once it was exposed that many of them are on contracts where they get a set amount of points money below a certain threshold, especially when guesting. It was why PK was sacked from Lakeside last season because he was seldom scoring the points they were actually paying him for as a minimum rate! E I Addio
So "blatant" that you didn't think it was worth a mention at the time? Sore loser, in my opinion. 1. Every team except Leicester has won at Lakeside this year and I never made excuses for any of those, and I am not making excuses for this defeat. 2. When I posted after the Belle Vue meeting I specifically made a pointed reference to Zengota being "hopeless" . That is not a term I normally use to describe riders, in fact I don't think I ever have, but in that match he stood out as being exceptionally poor. I didn't criticise any of the other riders in that way. This was a rider people had been describing as "the man in form" . I made specific reference to the fact that he didn't even beat Adam Ellis, so it's not as if I hadn't highlighted the fact that something was not right. People can have a different opinion, but having seen both matches it certainly seemed a remarkable transformation to me, especially in the space of a short period of time. And as people had said Zengota was hopeless the last time he rode for Swindon there and the time before that when he rode for cov ....in nearly everyone eyes Zengota is a poor rider at Lakeside and i think someone put up a stat that his average is under 4 at lakeside .. I don't think anyone in there right mind would thought he would have scored 16 at Wolves or the Score he got last night .
