MD
PB using the rules to their advantage to finish at ht10, clearly not confident of taking it down to the wiren though unlikely it would have got there. Ref pushed heats on quick though should have excluded Kus in ht7, he was on the back straight when the 2 minutes expired.

northyorksbear
This isn't aimed at Glasgow or Peterborough, because everyone does it, But doesn't it amaze people that a) meetings can be rushed through to heat 10 when necessary and more importantly b ) tracks deteriorate so quickly after heat 10, its always safe to ride in heat 10, but lo and behold track is now deemed unsafe!!. One final gripe - can anyone give a valid reason why heat 10 is deemed to be the satisfactory point to declare a result? Surely it should be heat 11 - after heat 11 all riders have had 3 programmed riders with exception of both number 2s who have had 4 - this seems a fairer point than denying away team's number 1 his third ride - heat 11 does (on paper) look to favour away teams usually. Ok rant over Edited July 26, 2015 by northyorksbear
MD
Here we go more cheating Panthers crap Cheque book speedway dont mean you win everytime you got the points with 5 heats to go what more do you want No suggestion of cheating from me at all, merely pointing out that PB played it to their advantage and all within the rules. I'm certain Glasgow would have come on stronger in the latter heats having got rid of Roynons third ride and Palovaara coming on some having chased down Ostergaard in ht8 and getting him on the last lap. Wethers was pretty decent as the track was prepared slick to cope with the weather though I don't think he would have done much thereafter. Not much your cheque book can do about the weather!

bigcatdiary
Ref pushed heats on quick though should have excluded Kus in ht7, he was on the back straight when the 2 minutes expired. To the best way of my knowledge and belief referees generally do not exclude riders under the 2 minute rule when they are under power on the track and going towards the tapes. The only exception I can think off is the referee who excluded everyone this year who wasn't ready to race, whether at the start line or not on a sky match this year and made himself and the sport look ridiculous. That was what i thought myself today can't remember who it was but a Glasgow rider also missed the 2 mins in an earlier heat but was allowed to start so was fair that Kus was also allowed the same lee-way. Points a point and much better than expected BUT should of had a chance for more. was the same last night at workington konoopla went right off the pace but was still taking extra rides ash morris maybe didnt score too much but he looked the better rider Edited July 26, 2015 by scarra

Kus came out pits gate with 8 seconds remaining and was in no rush. Can understand if the ref decided better to let race go on in interests of time. Do remember one Ashfield meeting earlier this season were a rider was excluded under two minutes as he was faffing around too long at the gate. Just to say the times for much of today's meeting were fast t/r is 57.1 and 3 races were under 58secs. By heat 10 things had got worse with a time of 60.3 and only one line 2inches from the fence! I heard it announced that it was Peterborough that asked for an inspection. By the time the ref reached the 2nd bend it had got heavier. A pity rain intervened Glasgow would have finished strong with Lawson due 3 rides, Summers 3 rides and Morris one. But hey we got the 3 points and a pint or two
