Eglese 19
On the same note would Tai do the same on Bombers ? ...not knocking him for it as the way you set up your bikes is a massive part of the sport . No I doubt he would, it's all about the set up as you say but also the ability to ride the bike. Have been at league meetings where reserves have had to borrow a quicker bike and they have struggled
oldace
I believe Emil/ Ward are on par with Tai the three best riders in the world for me the big difference is Tai has a title in the bag. Therefore the pressure is off Tai, he has won a title also what i like about him he is willing to lose rounds like last night doing nothing stupid and meaning he still has a nine point lead to protect. Agree with that Sid, although Nick P is still up there. Like you say Tai is now showing a level if maturity that Ward is yet to show Edited July 26, 2015 by Oldace

mikec
Of the current riders I'd pick Woffinden, Hancock & Ward. In any sport you get guys who always seem to have time, make the difficult look easy, they see the bigger picture. Crumpy & Rickardsson in recent times definitely had that same gift too. waiheke1
Greg is still the best gater IMHO, with Nicki P not far behind (but Nicki definitely the better racer of the two, though greg did pull off some passes in Malilla) Tai, Emil and Darcy the best racers, but of those Tai by far the better gater (and as per the OP, the best bend 1 and 2 rider at present), and would add that Tai seems to have the quickest bikes in the world right now - whenever you see Tai start to pull level on the straights, he invariably wins the race to the next corner, and once in the lead is almost uncatchable. As an overall package, Tai first with Nicki, Emil and Darcy not far behind, followed by Greg and Puk.
Blazeaway
7 from 7 for Darcy yesterday in Poland. Hungover perhaps?

RPNY
Who is actually the best rider out of Emil Ward and Tai?This thread got me thinking...
PHILIPRISING
AT this moment in time I would go for Tai, Emil and Darcy ... of the three think Tai is a better starter than the other two which gives him the edge.

Tai can throw in a stinker from the gate though. Emil is probably the more consistent but not as good on a good day. Its actually a real shame that we have no way of telling who is the best because all 3 are not in the GPs because of Ward being a wally and someone in the Sayfutdinov camp being a wally. PHILIPRISING
AGREED but at least we live in hope that both the wallies see sense
RPNY
If those two were in the GPs instead of say THJ and (sorry mate) Bomber it's possibly be greatest ever GP line up.

Fail to see how you could omit Bomber yet leave in KK who now quits after a lap
waiheke1
If those two were in the GPs instead of say THJ and (sorry mate) Bomber it's possibly be greatest ever GP line up.Would it be stronger than two seasons ago when both were in it? RPNY
Well that season was a stronger field then this years so I would say yes.

Woz01
You could also include THJ and Batchelor who are also behind Bomber at the moment.
