Rye House V Birmingham Sat 25th July

Um ...Brummies have better heat leaders, Raiders have better reserves and second strings. Depends on who has extracted digit! The Brummies usually succeed by hanging in then winning heats 13, 14 and 15.

Birmingham's new riders may find things tricky with some of the adverse camber and sandy surface on the corners...I suspect there may be some fallers. Exactly how many may determine the outcome of this meeting.

Do Deano90125 and "Silly Wilfred" still attend?

George Hunter eh? Now there's a name from the past. Any relation to the late George Hunter - the former Edinburgh & Wolves rider?

There is a lot of rain predicted to fall on the launch pad in the next few hours. I just hope that uncle Len makes an effort to get this meeting on.

Len won't make any effort as far as I'm aware NL meetings are Andrew's responsibility which is why Raiders meetings tend to have a decent amount of shale down.

Judging by the amount of rain today it'll have to be a dry day tomorrow to get this on.

out of the six raiders home meetings I've been to this season, Len has done the track for all of them, apart from the first kent match.

Len is the NL Track Curator with Andrew having had no input to track prep since the infamous dust off. Unfortunately, no one else, especially the riders, have any input either.

I will be amazed if it's off, dry sunny spells and warm. On Wednesday there was two hours of heavy rain from 12-2 and yet Cradley didn't call it off because the forecast was excellent for the afteroon. The track if anything was a tad dry, so it's amazing what a few hours of sun beating down on the track can do isn't it. If the forecasts are accurate then 12hrs is sufficient time to produce at the very least a rideable track. We shall see in the morning.... Edited by Brummie Kev

Oh well our first loss (it had to happen some time)a few points thrown away by the sounds of it - but still pleased to come away with a league point! Go Brummies................

Don't think you would have got the point if Rob Branford had been riding.
