Ok.Want to expand on this? Most fans seem happy at the organisation, but to be honest I am not keen on the press guy,so am happy to stay away

Cant see how he could get upset at me since he's on Twitter on his own name so here it goes.

"I hope the Berlin #icespeedway organisers get their act together for next year. This year they were 1 step down from utterly bloody useless"

Sounds fair enough. He is experienced enough and not known for moaning without a reason.I'll have a chat with him in Assen :P

None of the other Dutch riders look good enough

This is not realy the case, it's all about the politics and good friends ;) Bauer junior as reserve? Give me a break.... The kid was reserve in Berlin last weekend and he didn't even looked interested, both at the presentation and also on the track. He's the wildcard in Inzell by the way.

I don't know.He was giving the season a miss, had a go in Sweden and done well in berlin.Beating the other Dutch guys,so guess deserves it.Was looking back and Conkers was raving about de Jong and we also had Schukken, but both have disappeared?

Saw the comments about Luca being either insecure or very arrogant.......looking like he hates everyone.Hope he doesn't turn out like his father. But yes,i do agree it is a little crazy giving him the spot in Assen

I agree on Stellingwerf as wildcard, that's fair enough, but not on a German kid as reserve haha. We have youngster Bart Schaap and also Michel Bolt who went all the way to Finland for the GP quali, both could have been one of the reserves.

Luca does seem to be very arrogant. Look at the pics, says at all, same as the rumours in the paddock.

Schukken had a back problem and since then he hasn't returned, don't think he'll be back on the bike. Ruben de Jong en Dirk Werkman won't be back as well.... I heard they like riding, but not the long traveling.

@iris123 When are you in Assen mate?

I should be in the press room when you get there, you can hear my views on Berlin then. I fear M'Learn'd Friends would be taking an interest in me were I to relate them in this forum.

I'm looking forward to a properly organised meeting in Assen at weekend.

Down and safe in Groningen.

Hope to bump into Conkers (met him many times) and Iris (for what would be the first time) at some point of proceedings over the weekend.

All the best

Rob

Bumped into Jesper yesterday and Conkers yesterday and we also met up in Groningen today. But now I am home,so we missed each other.

Good meeting yesterday thoroughly enjoyed it.The highlight was Lars falling on his arse trying to get off the track.....no,i am being mean. The racing was pretty good, but I was frozen by the end

It's really going to the wire in Inzell. Shame I can't be there but National Speedway Stadiums only have one Grand Opening Meeting.

Shame to see the end of Assen, I've been going there regularly for the last 31 years, and this weekend's meeting was a fitting end, with three cracking meetings!

It was good to catch up with you too. Lets not leave having a drink so long in future!

Well done to Dima Khomitsevich on winning the World Championship by a single point in the last race of the season. After 4 consecutive bronze medals, I bet he thought he'd never get the Gold. I'm told the racing wasn't as good as Assen, but I'll watch out for the highlights and make my own mind up.

See you all in November.
