Workington Comets V Peterborough Panthers 25/7/15 7pm Pl

Recommended Posts

Has nobody told Lambert he has got his proper average, so no need to keep avoiding Panthers away meetings ;)

probably already in Germany, "again" ready for tomorrows bundesliga match for the white tigers v wolfslake. absolute joke, yes the kid is talented, but im afraid he is being pandered to way too much. dont think you can blame kings lynn for this, the fault lies with him and his team, the bspa for not doing something about it and peterboro for letting it keep happen

Absolute joke....Why????

Dale Allit was at the meeting wed and Robert was really struggling, ended up in the medical room, and Dale received his medical note, how can it be Robert or his teams fault for having re-occurring problems from his hip injury,

Think he came back too early

28 day ban surely?

WHY??? He is Injured

You only have to watch Lambert in the EL to see where his heart lies !!!

He puts just as much passion into PL as he do in EL He Just enjoys racing what ever league

All you sad lot of moaners want to leave to boy alone

Maybe ask the Peterborough Management the real truth!!!!!!!! they are the ones to blame :nono::mad:

No let's ask you as you're the one who brought it up. You clearly think you know the answer but just what an ordinary fan knows about internal affairs I can't imagine?

not the first time he has had a doctors note issued straight after a lynn meeting on a weds to miss pboro meetings but has ridden in germany instead. bit like the only rider not able to get back from w/c in denmark for pboro.

apologise to worky fans for putting this on here butyou have not had the chance to see lambert so have been cheated by these actions as have other clubs in pl this year.

Then how can "ordinary fans" condemn Robert Lambert without knowing both sides of the story? There's always two sides to a story after all not just one...

That's true. There are always two sides, and if speedway told the truth more often and didn't treat fans like mugs then they might not get so upset when those fans try to make sense of the type of disinformation that is often put out in the public domain. Bratters always accused me of looking for a story that wasn't there. Basically because so much guff was put out, you end up never believing any of it unfortunately. Sullivan, Andersen, Zabik, MJJ, the Drymls, we've had much bigger fish than Lambert to doubt at times.

Anyway, looking at the German forum, Lambert didn't ride so that's one up to him.

robert missed the Workington fixture, like me for reasons known to those close to ourselves... .there are always two sides to a story, some times three. ask rohan tungate !. there that's changed the subject.....

well done Workington on a good win against a good side . riders missing or not..

i think having josh at 2 was quite strange and prob cost p/borrow the points, not ashley or the fact that matt williamson had a great meeting. just remember p/borrow fans , the next time you have a rider missing, don't try and replace him with a fantasy rider that's a world beater. get back into the real speedway world.. shame i missed it...

I can understand not believing half or even most of what is put out there. I get that. And that's fair comment. I'm reluctant to believe absolutely everything I'm told or read myself these days. Generally speaking, fans are told what promotions want them to hear I think. That's just the way it is. But if someone is fortunate enough to hear both sides, then it's up to the individual to come to their own conclusions as to who they believe or not.

I don't have a problem with the way it is, just that they're not very good on the whole at delivering what they want us to hear.

Don't get the last bit or where that fits in.

Someone did (from FB):

Helen Lambert - after Roberts first race, he came back into the pits in pain, and got worse after each race he was in, he was riding through the pain barrier and really struggled in his last race to which he nearly pulled out of, so he was clearly NOT FIT to ride

did you make the trip to workington then.?

No. I wasn't there! I cancelled that idea on Thursday.

No. I know they're not. I'm just rambling on with regards to the last bit. Sorry!

I was there. I wasn't near the pits though... I guess he did look a little "off" or however you want to put it in his last ride. Edited by em1500uk

Well I was there an in his last ride he went from first to third and looked in a lot of pain :-(

Just looked on Roberts fb and he has said that he was struggling and is out for a week, and apologised to his PL side for not being there. GOOD ON YA ROBERT that will shut the slaggers off

oh and that means GERMANY Too!!!!!!!!!!

I think that the phrase winning the battle but not the war springs to mind.

More of a concern is what he's actually done? As far as speedway accidents go, his was reasonably innocuous.

crikey the Robert Lambert knockers are out in full force again...

Give the lad a break and get off his back! ;)

The way to look at it is while they're complaining about you not being there they clearly want you there. Thats a good sign. the day they moan about you being there is the day as a rider you need to worry and get upset :D
