Ipswich Vs Glasgow 23rd July 7.30 Pm

Recommended Posts

Seems it took 5 hours from being told by BSPA that Dan Greenwood wasn't eligible to guest to being eligible!

Kennett used to annoy me doing it, these days it King. Even when it's blatantly obvious you need to cover the inside he goes wide! The only positive is whne you need to ride the outside he's bloody good at it.

When I run some stats off a few months back form the last few years of riders heat 15 averages vs their over all average Danny King come out as one of the worst performers over the last 4 seasons. His over all British Speedway average was about 7.9 (EL and PL) but his heat 15 average was only 3.5, thats 3.5 ever 4 heat 15s, so he averages slightly worse than a 3rd in each heat 15 he rides in.

Look at the British Final at Wolves, think King did the same in heat 20, semi and Final!

We are carrying too many passengers at the moment, 11 points taken out of a possible 24 at home is just not good enough. League favourites, proves how much all of the reporters know. When you are struggling at home even if we make the play-offs you will not win over two legs just like we didn't against Berwick in the koc.

Well done to Glasgow who took advantage of us with a weakened team as we couldn't get adequate cover for Stefan at reserve after another faux pas by the SCB.

So another complete balls up from the BSPA over a team line up!

Simply not good enough and needs to be sorted for the future.

As we couldn't put a proper team out on the track due to their incompetence, does this mean we can appeal last night's result and get it rerun? Surely there is a case for it, not our fault we were weakened, and 2-3 points would have changed the outcome. Teams have points deducted when they field a rider that they shouldn't have done, but the way this sport is run, I dread to think what sort of ruling they have for this scenario.

No - the regs were altered to specifically state any ream issues had to be raised and sorted before the meeting.

The aim was to avoid results having to be changed.

So there can be no appeal - at least not a successful one as is seen by the Kus r/r decision.

Do you seriously think Greenwood would have scored any points last night?

Did you not see him last week - quarter of a lap behind.

At least Coles got out of the gate well a couple of times and was in front of other riders for a while.

Decent meeting last night - expected another draw rather than a tiggers win but hey ho.

Ippo's problem is just their inconsistency.

Heeps

- unbeaten from first 2 and going well

- stone last in his next 2 (behind Ellis each time and even behind A. Morris)

Manzares

- last / first / last / first.

- even beat N. Morris and Spud Summers

- looks like a slightly better version of our Foxy - great if he gates / not too good at passing or going wide

King

- unbeaten in first 3 and going well

- 3rd and last in next 2

Covatti is great to watch though.

Would have put him in heat 15.

Covatti has been doing it all season when there is some grip on the track just as well as he aint the best gater.

Prob made more passing moves on his own than the rest of the team together through out the season , real good fun to watch

Seems to be the only one who can make an outside pass stick.

Well in the Witches team anyway
