fredbogge
Any news if this match is on or off it`s pi$$ed down in Buxton overnight but now seems to be clearing. Weather forcast says fine from 11.00 am and this track does dry out with a good wind of which there is plenty about 1 mile from track in Harpur Hill
Halifaxtiger
Fingers crossed it will be. All forecasts say good weather this afternoon and in my experience a downpour overnight or in the morning dramatically improves the quality of the speedway at Hi Edge.

fredbogge
Any update? Does it still look like it is on? I would think it`s still on there`s not being a message on the forum from any of the Moss family to say otherwise so the family (ours) will be going as usual . The weather in the area is beautiful at present lets hope it stays that way Roll on 3-00 pm l

Halifaxtiger
Couple of incidents worth mentioning from this meeting : a totally bizarre decision to exclude Tom Stokes in heat 6. Stokes went through cleanly on the inside and some how got blamed for Woolley (who was very impressive indeed) falling. No contact whatsoever. Aside from that, credit Chris Durno (not for the first time) for trying (in vain) to keep the meeting going. Second was a quite extraordinary team ride from Liam Carr in heat 11 as he protected David Holt from Jake Knight until the last bend, when Holt slowed down that much that Carr hit him. Real shame it didn't succeed, because its the best go at team riding that I have seen this season (and quite possibly for several seasons). Knight is going to be a real asset for King's Lynn. For a rider that has been out for a while, he looked like he had never been away.
BuxtonTiger
Sorry mate, Durno was correct. We were at the third bend end of the back straight, Stokes made proper contact with Woolley our only thought was had the referee got a clear view. As for Carr's ride, fantastic although in the cold light of day, the points lost may make a big difference on Friday.
teddy2706
I thought Chris Durno did very well, even making announcement of the riders in heat fifteen! I think the milk float/water cart needs some attention, the pipe had fallen from the tank and it had a flat tyre, so apart from leaving a single very wet stripe it didn't do much good. Jake Knight was a revelation and it was nice to see Richard buzzing around too. Whether 12 points will be enough remains to be seen, but it was a nice meeting, yet another where I missed HT!
