Daniel Smith
Just out of curiosity Screamer, who would you replace Bjerre with? Someone with big balls, like a dirty Ryan Fisher or a Stars loving Kevin Doolan. At least they'll show something, passion. Totally not in Bjerre's tool box. Both will have lower averages too which will allow the opportunity to find a real heatleader along side Iversen with a re declaration of the team. So re-declaring the team who would be the other rider you want to get rid of to get another heatleader in?

Fisher or Doolan, that's the best you can come up with. I would rather stick with Bjerre. That would just be making changes for the sake of it. mdmc82
I don't think King's Lynn should hit the panic button just yet. Belle Vue is a very hard track to go to and they have a strong home record, having only dropped points twice at home so far this season (Coventry+2) I don't think Bjerre can be completely blamed for the defeat tonight (however I don't get the decision to play the TR on him) Milik & the reserves also didn't ride to their potential although we all know what they are capable of on other tracks. Losing Porsing also didn't help.
tellboy
Surprised at all the negativity surrounding Bjerre, the effort that lad put in was outstanding. Very unlucky in his first ride when he had some sort of failure to give away a solid second and that was after getting the better of Nicholls, leading the race for at least 50 yards. Again in heat 7 he brilliantly battled to the front on the first turn only to get passed either side by Nicholls and Zagar on the second turn, really unlucky again. I wasn't the only one who recognised how good he was when his efforts were rewarded with the b/w in heat 11. This time though he was against Fricke who was on fire and Kenny had no answer and was just blasted out of sight with Zagar playing the back up bit part again. He finally got his just reward in heat 14 with a brilliant ride to see off Cook and Grajczonek. Well done Kenny, that learnt them! I was a bit surprised he wasn't out in heat 15 but too be honest the lad must have been shiittered after all his hard work and effort, and for so little reward as well. Great performance from all The Aces with Nicholls and Fricke outstanding and no weak link, a proper team performance. It looks like the pokc sycophants were right after all with a very noisy contingent of around 5 Lynn fans there to give Kenneth and the rest of their team some fantastic support. It just goes to show finishing in the top 4 is far more important than finishing top of the big league, even for the first time in their history. Nice to hear from somebody who was there. So Bjerre wasn't to bad then.Still wont stop the usual ones mocking him.As I said I wasn't there so I wasn't going to judge him just on him scoring 5 points. Excellent assessment of the major part played by Kenneth in tonight's unlucky 20 point defeat. mikec
Wouldn't be too hard on your team if I was a Stars fan tonight. Heat 1 aside, The Aces from 1-7 were good. Scott Nicholls was back to his best & Josh G solid in the middle order. Thing with this Aces side, they could push you close at Saddlebow Road, or just as easily get stuffed by 12-14pts! No lack of effort from the Stars, Porsing looked lively before pulling the locker that (effectively) ended his match, hope he's well soon. NK Iversen was a threat all night, all effort ending in a fall in heat 15. If the Aces ride like they did tonight, they'll give Swindon plenty to think about in what could be a playoff decider at Kirky Lane in mid-August. Just gotta make sure there's no home slip-ups in the meantime.. Edited July 20, 2015 by mikec

g13webb
Having decided not to travel, fearing a long drive home, dissecting the predicted lost, so like others I followed where possible on the updates. It was always, a tough ask to go there and win. For us to have got anything from this meeting, would mean us riding way above ourselves and BV having all the bad luck... Looking at the heat results, we started OK and figured in the early heats, but incidents went against us. When you go away you need heatleaders to impose themselves. Unfortunately Niels, KB and Milik failed to do that. and only won 2 races between them. BV are a strong team and I believe it would be wrong not to bear this in mind when thinking about the overall performance. Looking at the heats, all BV riders scored more than his opposite number, so rather than moan about our defeat, probably praise is due to BV for the way they all gave to the cause..... Wednesday is another day and a different proposition. The boot will then be on the other foot and this time we should win. I don't see us winning by 20 points, but as long as we get a win, the rest can follow............ When it matters.....
Daniel Smith
Maybe I was a little OTT with the replacements but it was an example that those guys would give everything to the cause. As every week goes by I'm just becoming more and more angry and frustrated with this team and management. I expected a fair bit more passion from in our 50th year, it just doesn't seem to be being delivered. With the performances of Bjerre this season he will get the brunt of the frustration as in this current EL he should be knocking in double figures regularly rather than once a month. mdmc82
Are there any updates on how Porsing is?
em1500uk
Not surprised by the result. Belle Vue have a decent 1-7. And I think people are right to feel angry with how Kenneth is performing...he's supposed to be a second heatleader. How many meetings has he scored 10+ in this season? It can't be that many I wouldn't have thought? I think his issues are more psychological than anything though mind you.
Trees
I was there, Ken was giving plenty of effort but you had to get the 1st/2nd bend right or nowt. He tipped the kerb in his first race whilst in third. He certainly gated in 7 but couldn't make it stick coming outta the 2nd bend against the very fast Nicholls and Zagar. Gated off 4 in 14 and made it stick. Ah well, must say I liked the way the whole BV team came out into the crowd after the parade truck stopped at the start gate to walk back to the pits, loads of fans took the opportunity to talk to the riders, kids to get autographs and photos .... They do this everytime we win. It's great idea which a lot of clubs should do. The kids love it Obviously if they loose then stay away from us
Rob B
Was worried after first few heats we just weren't gating at all (although KL did get away with some rollers) but it was a good comeback and then an easy win in the end. Those complaining about Bjerre being given the tactical, he was the obvious choice. Milik was poor and struggling, everyone knows Bjerre is just a gater and when he does gate he rarely gets passed as showed in Heat 14. Biggest surprise was Milik chosen for heat 15! g13webb
Looking through the results, our biggest issue was the number of races where we finished last. Counting the FX's, there were 12 races we failed to score. and that is far to many. To be in with a chance of winning any match all the riders need to score almost every time. Them second and third places are just as important as the winners. Hopefully things will change on Wednesday....

Things will definitely be different Wednesday, Milik will probably be near double figures for starters.

IainB
I've only just become a semi-regular at Belle Vue (would help if they didn't keep getting rained off!) as I'm working away from home in the area for a while and I must say one thing that has struck me about the place is the average age of the punter... and it doesn't bode well for the future of the club! I'm no spring chicken myself but I'm shocked at the lack of younger people attending. I wonder why the sport attracts young participants but not a young crowd?
