WembleyLion
I thought it was announced Adam was penalised for delaying the start - I do not recall hearing touch touching being mentioned but the P.A system where I stood was a bit temperamental so I may have missed it! Gemini
I thought that was the reason too. Didn't seem to bother him being 15 metres back anyway and it certainly made it one of the more interesting races of the night when the overall match was pretty mediocre, apart from the score. Triple.H.
No I don't think so. I don't like it because surely once you have left the NL for a season you shouldn't be allowed back. He certainly won't be here next yearIf he's eligible to ride he should be in regardless of his ability. A rider of Adams age and experience needs as many meetings as possible IMO it's a pity he's not got a team spot in all 3 league's.
Hunters
) Â I don't believe that there is a Brummie fan out there that can quite believe the situation we find ourselves in and we are gonna enjoy it while we can. There is also not a Brummie fan out there that believes that we are gonna win this thing. We are all waiting for the wheels to come off. Its part and parcel of coming from Birmingham. [ /quote] Â Such Modesty! The League is already over, The only viable danger is Eastbourne who would have to win all their remaining matches to have a chance unless Brum suddenly lose a couple at either Rye House, Mildenhall or Buxton, as well as losing home to Eastbourne. That lot simply will not happen. They have won the League with style and deserve the title all thanks to Zach who at 3.0 must be the best signing for years. But they will not be unbeaten, Arlington saw the end of their cup hopes and should repeat the dose setting up a potential Gold Cup final between the two. The only thing to change it are injuries and I think the Eagles have had their share for this season.(Fingers Crossed)
Alex2000
that's a bit rich coming from a club that had magic mason in the team. Surely the NL is a league for developing young riders. Yes but Mason can't improve this is the level he will stay at he's not good enough for a higher league. So no it's not a bit rich because Ellis can develop and is unbeatable pretty much so I think he shouldn't be allowed in league If he's eligible to ride he should be in regardless of his ability. A rider of Adams age and experience needs as many meetings as possible IMO it's a pity he's not got a team spot in all 3 league's. The NL is too easy for him though he needs PL and EL spots
Islander15
The NL is too easy for him though he needs PL and EL spots I think you're missing the point Alex. That may be true but no PL team offered him a team place so what was he supposed to do? He was offered an NL spot by Birmingham and he took it. As has been said by others, at his age and stage of development he needs as many meetings as possible.

Islander15
No I know it wasn't offered but what experience is he gaining by winning pretty much every race he rides? Learning different tracks, learning about set-ups (I'm sure he'd rather find a problem in an NL meeting than EL), learning how to cope with the pressure of being the top man, earning money, keeping match fit and boosting his confidence and that's just off the top of my head.

Ok yes there are things all of them except track set ups as you are unlikely to ride at most tracks in a higher league. Anyway just thought he would want more of a challenge

Ben91
PL teams weren't interested because there are a lot of Friday night meetings in the PL that he would miss due to his Lakeside commitments. At least that's my understanding of it. Nothing to do with his ability but as a young Brit he should be encouraged to ride as much as possible, even if that means in all three leagues. Â BWD is probably running at a higher average than Ellis without checking, is he too good for this level too Alex? Shall we chuck him out too and make Eastbourne use Niall Strudwick instead? No because Brad isn't an EL draft and can't do PL so he only has the NL as an option and it's his first season I am sure he would. However, missing the point again, the more of a challenge wasn't available to him. So I ask you once again. What was the guy supposed to do? I don't know make some mistakes so he fits into NL better than he does now oh and while he is at it stop moving at the start.
berniev123
I am sure that if the BSPA had said that BWD could go into the PL he would have been on a 5 or 7 point average like Brady Kurtz and not a cosy NL average of 5(?) with patriality. Is that why he has not been invited as a guest in the PL or is not in the PL?????? Discuss Alex! I edit this as this is NOT his first season in speedway..NZ Speedway counts as well in your development!!!!!!!!!!! Gemini
No I know it wasn't offered but what experience is he gaining by winning pretty much every race he rides? He learned how to pass 3 riders last night that had started from the gate whereas he was off 15 metres. Pretty impressive how quickly he did it too. Perhaps that's the answer to equal things up a bit ~ give riders like Adam a handicap?
Heathen1984
Fair play to Adam Ellis. He is allowed in the league and well done to Brum for getting him.
Countershaftcounter
That Darcy award bloke, he's a bit good, he keeps winning races. Let's kick him out of the EL as he's obviously learned all he's gonna learn from English speedway ? Â I wonder if people would still be saying this about Adam if the Brummies aren't winning ? Â Let's ban Tom and Zack while we're at it

Let's ban Tom and Zack while we're at it Zack is still on his first season so he is learning more from it than Adam. Just thought he would learn more riding harder races than he is. And before you say I've totally missed the point yes I know he couldn't get a PL place. If he is in NL next year I will be amazed I don't know make some mistakes so he fits into NL better than he does now oh and while he is at it stop moving at the start.
