kitten2502
It's great to see Birmingham Brummies back racing. I hope one day we see them back in the EL Er no thanks - we don't want to be there!
mdmc82
Many there?Crowd was quite good although seemed to be more Away fans than home. I think having Coventry in both leagues does effect attendance as people choose their meetings.Good to see a lot of Birmingham fans Edited July 17, 2015 by mdmc82
LordoftheShale
3 more points on the road, well done lads.  One criticism, £2 for a 4 page programme and one of those pages was all adverts
the hobbit
You can keep the Elite League. Â I don't know a single Brummie's fan who wants to go back there. Â Many of us would be more than happy to stay in the National League whilst many would prefer the Premier League because of the larger amount of meetings

When I arrived (after a long slow journey) they'd sold out. If anyone can help me get hold of a copy I'd be very grateful. jim the whipper
Congratulations Birmingham on the win. Unlucky for Storm to lose Dwyer so early on but did well to still take it to a last heat decider. Â Even with it being close it wasn't one of the most entertaining meetings I've seen. Only really Ellis & Knuckey offering any real racing without coming off. The rest was mainly from the gate. Surprised in some ways that Ellis is still riding NL as there is a huge difference between the EL & NL and he is doing well in the EL. Â It's great to see Birmingham Brummies back racing. I hope one day we see them back in the EL Was Dwyer that great a loss ?, he's withdrawn after crashing in his first race about 3 times now . and theres plenty of other riders who can collect gifts just as well as he can

He was the strongest of our reserves so yes, he was a loss

Oh no EL for me either thanks
Villain
Ben Basford is riding tonight not Powell for some reason Rumour has it that Charley Powell was not happy with the way he was treated when he guested for Brum at KL and that he turned down the offer to ride for Brum again. guitar_art
According to Adam Ellis he was excluded in his second ride for touching the tapes! Â Here full interview here: - Â http://www.birminghambrummies.co/news.php?extend.2147 Â Ref should have gone to specsavers!
Jonny the spud
Maybe the ref should have looked at the two photos that showed the rider next to him touching the rapes with both his front mudguard and his helmet peak. Â Then gone to specsavers... Didn't matter really. Just fired Adam up all the more. Edited July 18, 2015 by Jonny the spud
dj350z
Is it right to have a rider of Adam Ellis's calibre riding in the NL?
Alex2000
Is it right to have a rider of Adam Ellis's calibre riding in the NL? No I don't think so. I don't like it because surely once you have left the NL for a season you shouldn't be allowed back. He certainly won't be here next year
Ben91
Don't be daft, or would you rather see a young British prospect without a team spot?
Alex2000
Don't be daft, or would you rather see a young British prospect without a team spot? He rides for Lakeside so he has a team place he should go PL as well NL is to low for him really
mdmc82
Is it right to have a rider of Adam Ellis's calibre riding in the NL? That's what I wondered. He is near the top of the tier 2 draft in Elite league. Surely it would benefit his own personal development to ride in PL as well as EL instead as stronger & more competitive. NL is more of a development league. He's too good for it now. Edited July 18, 2015 by mdmc82
guitar_art
He wanted to go PL but no-one came in for him. We spotted an opportunity and took it. More fool the PL and well done Brum. Â Really that's the beginning end and middle of the story. Other teams had the same chance to sign him but they didn't and we did. Anything else is just sour grapes. Â Speaking as a Birmingham supporter (I really don't like the word 'fan') its great to have a number one that you can have confidence in after three seasons in the EL with, so called number ones, that didn't care and didn't try. (I exclude Bomber from that because whatever else you can level at, not trying is not one of them.) Â I don't believe that there is a Brummie fan out there that can quite believe the situation we find ourselves in and we are gonna enjoy it while we can. There is also not a Brummie fan out there that believes that we are gonna win this thing. We are all waiting for the wheels to come off. Its part and parcel of coming from Birmingham. As an example when we rocked up to Coventry yesterday I couldn't find one Brummie that was prepared to predict a win. We were all hoping for a point but would not have been surprised if we got nowt from the meeting. This of course makes any victory all the more sweeter. Â It was interesting at KL the other night that they seemed to be of the opinion that we had brought our way to the league and had greater resources than other clubs! Apart from the fact that nothing has been won yet, to say Birmingham has resources to burn is (to use an old fashioned word) poppycock!) And interestingly at the beginning of the season there were not many that predicted Birmingham to win the league both on this forum and and in the speedway star. Â As for the NL league being a development league. It stopped being that the moment NL sides were allowed to obtain assets. Except in the case of sides with a foot in two leagues. Having said that it has been a privileged to see the development of Zach 'the grasshopper' Wajtnknecht. We may have uncovered something special there. To early to say at this moment but the signs so far are very good. Maybe the ref should have looked at the two photos that showed the rider next to him touching the rapes with both his front mudguard and his helmet peak. Then gone to specsavers... Didn't matter really. Just fired Adam up all the more. Can you post a link to these photos' would love to have a gander.
Islander15
Is it right to have a rider of Adam Ellis's calibre riding in the NL? He rides for Lakeside so he has a team place he should go PL as well NL is to low for him really He'd only ridden 1 full year of NL and 2 full years of speedway before this season so of course we should allow him if he's eligible! And the PL didn't want him stupidly, so you couldn't expect him to just ride EL at this point in his career. The only draft rider to try that, in 2 seasons, is Garrity who is much further on in his development (he's just ridden in a GP!) and even he originally had a PL spot at the start of the season and has picked up a spot again now.
