Kings Lynn Vs Belle Vue : Wed 23rd July

Recommended Posts

For the statisticians, here are a few facts from the meeting last night....

Holeshot from Gates:- 1 =5; 2 =3; 3=3 and 4=4, all fairly evenly distributed...

Only 5 holeshots won the race, and only 3 of those were as positions from the start.

Overtaking in 12 of the 15 races...... For those who only go to see overtaking last night was pretty good.

Also, to those who constantly moan about the Lynn Track, last night proved, it is still one of the best in the country. :t:

Tribute to Buster and his gang for all their hard work to get this meeting on....

It was a good tactical move to stop us using the tactical in Zagar in Heat 10. Although I'm sure KL would have preferred a 3-3 to a 2-4.

Not sure a good TAC move at all. Give away 2 points (assuming roynon woild have finished 3rd)to stop aces gaining a max three points. And of course as it turned out aces wouldn't have been able to use it as josh won the heat anyway

So frustrating to come away without a point again after keeping it close most of he meeting.

Again showing how inconsistent we are everytime it's a different 2 riders not performing. Last time at Lynn and on Monday Nicholls and Fricke were our top 2, last night they were poor. If we could just get 6 riders going we would win most places.

Kept up our record of scoring over 40 in every away meeting and shown again we can beat most teams over 2 legs.

Just like 6 other teams in the league... but not Wolves.. :P:D:D

First Elite meeting I have been to for two years. Firstly would like to congratulate Buster on getting the track in a good condition as when we arrived it looked impossible. Really enjoyed the evenings racing. Zagar looked unbeatable at the beginning of the meeting. Impressed with Cook as well but Nichols had an off night. All of the stars put in a great effort. Roynon does seem to get involved in a lot of accidents. Stefan did well to get up from that.

Hadn't seen you off late, and thought you had given the sport a rest.

Pleased you came and enjoyed it, next time at the EESG we'll have that drink :drink:

That was me. I've calmed down now.

I was angry at both zagar and cook tbh

Cook kept looking behind in most his races and that's when he starts dropping back. He should ride his own race. Saying that puk was fantastic and worth the admission money alone.

For us so close to a much needed point as every match is massive for us. Nicholls disappointed tonight. Fricke is still young and learning and reserves did ok as did Josh.

What was Roynon playing at tonight. 1st going unbeaten in first 2 races :)

Then t-boning nielsen (unintentionally may I add) causing an allmighty pile up. How stef got up from that I'll never know. He's a tough lad. But for Adam to just pick his bike up and walk off was pretty disrespectful. He would be the last riser I would expect to do that

Nice I can put a name to a fist sorry I mean face :D.Next time I will come over and introduce myself now I know what you look like.I'll be the one wearing the body armour :P .

I understand your frustration I think.Being so close to a point and not getting one.Problem is I think because Belle Vue are having a decent season you want or expect them to pick up points whoever they are racing. When they are poor like they have been in recent seasons you don't expect anything from matches and don't get so frustrated.

Through the 90's I use to follow Lynn to almost every away meeting and see them get thumped just about evey time never use to get upset because we use to expect it.But in recent years when we have been ok we expect points on the road all the while but it doesn't happen and it does piss you off.

Anyway you are still in the mix for a play-off place with all those home matches to come.I think the 3rd and 4th place will be between Lynn,Belle Vue and Swindon.

Good job I didn't or I wouldn't have known who he was. I've just about got him sussed out when I see him at Peterborough now but it's taken a long while.

Ha! Stiltonpanther was standing with bigcatdiary at the pits one week a few months back. That's when I was introduced!

Anyone know how Stef is now?

Bruised spine and bike

Feels like he's been ran over.

Will be ok after a weeks rest

Yeh come say hi. I'm usually a really nice guy. Wouldn't say boo to a goose. I had a bad day. Then a long meeting cos of busters excellent work may I add. Then I was really peeved off with roynon and I mean really peeved off. Then to loose a point on last lap of last heat was the killer. No excuse though I was bang out of order and apologise to anyone that saw.

To make it worse the journey home was horrendous with road closure after road closure. Oh well you never know. We may see you in the play offs ;)

Wasn't easy getting out of BV Monday either, the old paper map came in handy

Tell me about it. A nice easy 10 min journey took 45 mins to get home. Bloody highways
