Scunthorpe Scorpions Vs Ipswich Witches ( P L) - Friday, July 17th (7.30pm)

Recommended Posts

If there was malice in what Tungate did, then he will be dealt with accordingly I am sure.

There seems to be a clear intent from Scunthorpe in terms of parking the bus of blame all at the door of Ipswich from everything I read.

Im not sure there is any one blaming Ipswich speedway really, and i dont think that shopuld be the case,it was the rider who did it not the club

And although Tungate didnt i dont think mean to cause injury to a rider, fact is his actions did in a non race incident which i think should be punished

I dont think he should be banned as then Ipswich as a club suffer,it should be a fine to the rider and his points removed

Hancock at least attacked Pedersen from the front.

Cowardly Tungate did his attack from behind.

Most people knew that what Hancock did was wrong and said so and didn't deny it happened.

Most people know that what Tungate did was bang out of order but a couple are trying to say it didn't happen or that Auty caused it by slowing down and riding in Tungate's path.

you are writing such absolute drivel

you are making it sound that Tungate deliberatly went steaming into Auty when its quite obvious what happened.

Tungate was angered by the sheer stupidity of Auty yet again in the first running of the race.

Tungate makes no attempt to slow down after the race.

His intention quite clearly is to flick his back wheel at Auty to show his disgust.

What happens is that as he goes to do it Auty moves slightly left

This means that when Rohan flicks his wheel they collide sending Auty over.

Tungate immediatly holds his hand up to acknowlegdge the knocking off bit was accidental.

What Tungate done wrong is to not say this was the case when interviewed.

For those idiots among you calling for bans and lynching someone i think you live in a very sheltered world and not really have a grasp of whats going on.

Ive seen many cases of a rider flicking a back wheel to shower someone in dirt (Andy Smith to Ermolenko in 1993 world final springs to mind)

The fact Tungate got it slightly wrong means he copped a fine and quite rightly so.

Errr what's this got to do with Monarchs?

Monarchs supporters do generally accept when their riders have been out of order even when there is no video evidence.

It's about 99% of everyone posting on this thread that's watched the video that's saying Tungate is in the wrong and should be dealt with.

So let's keep this to the Tungate wiping out Auty subject please.

.

lol wiping him out what are you watching!! he flicked is wheel which caused Auty to fall hardly wiping someone out!!

will auty do a roy keane and bide his time ?

yes, of course he will..

Auty wont need to buy his time. he is a liability on the track knocks people off for fun and cries like a jessie when the boot is on the other foot. He will knock Tungate off at some point because he knocks most people off at some point

Yep, strangely enough, they've nearly all been Ippo fans. I can only summise there is a lack of Specsavers in Suffolk.

Any with two functioning eyes can clearly see Tungate speed up and flick his back wheel at Auty.

All the best

Rob

Dear oh dear

Yes he did flick his back wheel to shower him in dirt at the point Auty moved left. Auty fell off but to knock him off was not intentional what a pathetic crowd of so called speedway fans who call this incident a rider 'wiping another out'

it would have only taken 20 secs to put on a . i am sorry show for the fans and non of this would be escalating the way it is. its the way he headed back to the pits with a feck you attitude. no its not ok to knock people off ,ride dirty or whatever. tony childs had a reputation for that,.. couldnt beat the opponent in the race, so knocked him off after it. yes he once rode for Workington, didn't last long though..

he held his hand up you fool. He meant to shower him in shale but got it wrong it plain and simple but only a troll like you write this crap

In the first staging Gavan what did Auty do that was so bad? i thought it was a racing incident no more. All four back i felt it was the right decision, but if Auty had been excluded i would not of been surprised. Also from the inside Tungate did end up awfully wide did you not think that? or am i wrong.?

if that was filmed by a professional film crew . i for one would not be buying that meeting. mind you i did see auty moving to the left slightly , NOT . i think you will find all speedway tracks curve to the left and in order to ge around them you have to turn left.

i am going to have another look and see if tungate holds his hand up to say he was sorry to auty.

gav.. how close were you to the incident

all we are asking for is tungate to man up to his actions, that's all .? people have cameras in cars and can get footage of accidents they have been involved in. .. insurance companies use this information to get the guilty party to pay up and police ask for any footage taken by a member of the public to help with their enquiries. so what does it matter if it was filmed by joe bloggs.

Looks like Auty takes a dive to me. Shame really given the way he hands it out you'd think it accept what comes around.

some dive. change your user name again.

GAV .. still trying to find the bit on the video where tungate holds his hand up to auty to say sorry, or am i looking at the wrong vid ?

As an ipswich fan what Tungate has done disgusts me. Rides deliberatly into a rider and breaks his arm. Don't want riders like that associated with my club

Should be thrown out the meeting at the least.

above are the 2 statements I wrote immediately after hearing / reading about what Tungate has done.

if you think that makes me biased towards my team you are deluded so please keep quiet the Scotsman.

I have since watched the video many times and also spoke to people that were there.

If you think Tungate deliberately knocked him off then you need to go specsavers.

Yes he sped up towards him and flicked his wheel to shower him in dirt.

He accidently caught Auty who fell off.

For you info jenga he DID hold his hand up many eyewitnesses have backed this up including Scunthorpe fans.

Now mr clever clogs Scotsman whats worse.

Tungate flicking his wheel at someone and accidentally knocking them off or Masters taking Bjerre off then going back to him to start raining punches down on him?

Masters act was disgraceful and he got NOTHING!!

I don't like the statement Tungate made but Christ people calm down

What Masters got shouldn't be allowed to set a precedent, we can never overcome inconsistency or mistakes from referees. Tungate's action was deliberate and reckless, even if his intentions might have been less damaging than they appeared to be.

Rohans action was not deliberate - I am as sure as I can be he had no intention of knocking Josh off.

I can understand why those against him question his statement but the video is inconclusive.

Only Rohan really knows and he is adament there was no intent.

The SCB ruling should only be about the intent - injury to Josh should not influence the verdict.

Which action is worse - intent with no real injury (Bjerre/Masters) or no intent but unfortunate injury? (Rohan/Josh)

So you are now the censorship police?

What a dick.

Didn't know you were at Armadale when Baby Bjerre was there?

Was it a good meeting?

Seen the video yet?

I seem to remember all Monarchs supporters saying Sam was bang out of order and probably should have been kicked out of the meeting.

But the thread is not about Masters - it's about Tungate wiping out Auty.

Stick to your original comments - should have been thrown out of the meeting at least.

My eyesight is fine thank you - maybe you need to watch it on a bigger screen - or maybe your 56k dial up connection is bit lumpy.

I assume broadband hasn't reached your part of Suffolk yet.

And strangely enough all those who are convinced of Tungates guilt are Scunthorpe supporters. It only goes to show its a matter of opinion and of course the two sides will have different views. That's why these count for nothing.

The video is the only so called evidence and since that is from a poor angle and a long distance it also proves nothing. Certainly not clear enough to base a case on.

That leaves only the refs view. Now some claim he didn't see the incident in which case it all ends there. If he did see something, hence the fine, then this will decide the case against Tungate.

I fully expect it to go no further due to the lack of clear impartial evidence.

What I do expect is a large fine and possible other penalties against the Scunthorpe promotion club officials for refusing to allow the meeting to continue and failing to control the crowd and allowing them onto the race track during a meeting.

There is also the potential that other Scunthorpe club officials could be fined and sanctioned if the refs report includes mention that they tried to influence his decision as was clearly outlined on this forum.

Sorry but you opening statement is not true there are numerous amounts of posters who have posted on this thread who feel that Tungate was definitely in the wrong who are not Scunthorpe fans.

For me the camera angle of the video footage is not that great and you cannot clearly see if Tungate has gone with the intention to have Josh Auty off.

I believe that what happened was that Tungate who was angry with Josh has gone with the intentions of spraying him with shale with the speed of the bike and caught Josh and had him off.

Whether or not Tungate should have been thrown out of the meeting is open for debate, I suppose it is question of intent, did Tungate go with the intent of injuring Josh.

On personal level I don't think he did, but I can see why people see it that way, but I do believe that Tungate although was not intent of hurting Josh but he is responsible for Josh falling and hurting himself.

What do find annoying ids the Ipswich trying to deflect the blame on to Josh, which I frankly find disgusting, anyone even with a limited amount of speedway knowledge knows that is not true.

I see you've "liked" a recent post on this thread so you're still reading it, but you haven't responded to my post so I'll ask you again.

"Ipswich" deflecting the blame on to Josh which you find disgusting, or was it just Tungate himself?

But the thread is not about Masters - it's about Tungate wiping out Auty.

You keep saying the above, but people are comparing the two incidents. Lots of fans are calling for Tungate to get a ban, but Masters didn't get one when he knocked Bjerre off and then went back and started a fight with him. So if both riders got a fine on the night and both not chucked out of the meeting, why should Tungate get a ban.

Are you serious? No intent? So why is he sliding sidewise down the straight if he didnt intend for the back wheel to slide out? Anyone who has ridden a bike will tell you the ONLY way to get the rear end out like that is to intentionally open the throttle.

nice if you to resort to name calling. Usually what people do when they lack the intelligence to debate properly. And yes we will bang on about the Masters incident as it is comparable. Well I say comparable but Masters went back over after his incident and actually started to punch Bjerre. Masters got a fine he didn't get thrown out the meeting he didn't get a ban. So in your little blinkered Edinburgh world please enlighten me as to why Tungate deserves any more than Masters please? I'm sure you will not respond properly and perhaps even get abysive again but you seem to want to throw the book at Tungate when in fact what he did was far less serious than your own rider!

if you read the post properly the intent part is the intent to knock him off which he didn't mean to do. Correct he sped up to flick his wheel and cover him in shale but he ended up catching him hence no intent to knock him off. Masters had plenty of intent to injure a fellow rider it's quite simple to understand
