Scunthorpe Scorpions Vs Ipswich Witches ( P L) - Friday, July 17th (7.30pm)

Recommended Posts

Also funny how people having a go at Louis yet no one really saying much about Godfrey squaring up the Phil Hilton for no reason Phil one of the mildest mannered person you d ever wish to meet !!!

I'm sure I saw Rob G and Phil H cuddling each other and exchanging a laugh just after the handbags between Ashley Morris and Nike Lunna's mechanic. And fair play to Phil for going onto the mic at the end... it was obvious he was going to get a reception, but he did it anyway, and wished Scunny the best for the future.

It was slightly surreal at times on Friday - I don't think I've ever been to a speedway meeting quite like that one.

All the best

Rob

Amazing two people saw the pits incident and yet we have two differing versions, good job no one is on trial for murder

that raises a vood point..

What level of proof does an SCB inquiry require?

Presumably not beyond reasonable doubt like a criminal case but more likely a balance of probability basis - like being the prime cause of the stoppage in speedway speak.

Thank you mrmungo your account is exactly wot happened.

I only stick up for Ash when I know he has done nothing wrong as I said on my Facebook if ash wants to argue with a rider or vice versa so be it get on with it but soon as others get involved then I do.

Oil tag yes he lost it but so would you if some one grabbed you for no reason

I will agree the fighting was started by the mechanic while ash was still on his bike. Now if nike had started i would have understood (not saying its correct but he would be the one to feel aggrieved by ash`s actions) and not for the mechanic to decide it warrants some fisticuffs

And both of them got fined at the meeting, which should be the end of the matter.

He must have learnt to attack from behind like the cowardly Cook punching Barker in the back of the head.

Really!!!

What age are you, that is such a childish response, you really need to take lessons in debating.

Well I will stick to my version which happened 15 yards away from me.

Please can we all now move on and just let the SCB and the BSPA do there stuff!. I have watched the video loads of times and the bottom line is that I proves nothing. Speedway supposed to be a friendly family sport so let's get back to that hey?

Just watched re-run of heat 10, not got a clue what happened. What I did notice was a lot of 'noise' from surrounding supporters. Be interesting to gauge what they thought, possibly somebody could re-post with English subtitles. Thank you in anticipation of some clarity.

Bit frustrating when the Ipswich boss Phil Hilton tried to speak to the crowd at the end; that he was drowned out by all the commotion from the crowd. I think he was decent for doing that; and personally I would have liked to have heard him out.

I am with you Rob; I have never been to a speedway meeting like Friday night. In amongst all the shenanigans there was a darn good speedway meeting; building to another cracking finale. It could have been Scunthorpe v Peterborough all over again in the space of a week!; yet we all left reflecting on the madness of it all; when we should have been extoling over another super scintillating night of speedway at the EWR Scunthorpe.

Still the everyone's talking about Scunthorpe Speedway; and that's a good thing. I have seen comments about folk not returning after the Friday Fracas; but why would you take your bat home after that. For me it only gives you more damn good reasons NOT TO MISS Scunthorpe v Plymouth this Friday.

You just don't know what your going to be missing if you miss Scunny Speedway !.

Wow he sacked Ben Powell. Ben Powell that superstar speedway rider numerous time champion etc yeah right. If it had been Auty who had done it he'd have laughed it off as a nothing matter would Godfrey or better still sat in the middle of the track with Josh and have a little gathering seems to be their thing.

What another childish, and ill thought out (if at all) post that is.

Whether he was World Champion or a second half wobbler, you can't defend the undefendable.
