Kings Lynn V Wolves 16th July

Recommended Posts

As much as I would love you to be there that maybe stretching things a bit.

I have no desire to be there to watch a heat leader riding round at the back and making little or no effort. I am staying at home and getting more excitement by watching the grass grow.

When did Milik hurt his wrist?

Milik damaged his wrist when guesting for Lakeside at Poole last Wednesday - he came off the back when attempting a wheelie!!

It was heavily strapped for the GP and was ok for his early heats but he tweaked it again.

Is this another of those endless injury deceases we attract each year. We always suffer from the fact of that no adequate replacements are available. Losing Both Lambert and Malik could have been catastrophic had we been riding against stiffer opposition, as it is we could probably scrape a narrow win.....

Next time we might not be so lucky.....:sad::cry:

Don't he play cricket :P

I see Fricke is guesting for Lambert and it is R/R for Milik.

As much as I like to watch Fricke, he is no comparison to Lambert. Plus, when using a guest and RR the guest is doubly important, in that he will get/could get an extra ride.......

The RR / Guest situation puts massive pressure on the remaining riders, especially when your top rider cant take one of them. Extra rides for KB, Porsing, Kerr or possibly Morris instead. The biggest issue here has to be Kenneth Bjerre. If he produces the form he's capable of, then no worries. But IF and a big IF, he performs similarly to that of late we could struggle.

I know Wolves have struggled of late and are the team at the bottom of the league, but they always go well here at the AFA. Some of Freddie's past rides, have come from the top drawer. He's probably low on confidence at the moment but only a fool would write he off. The same can be said of PK; and Wells. Draft riders Blackbird and Bates are equal to most teams, so this won't be the one sided affair it was once thought to be........

Hope they the management give Niels the reception he deserves after winning the British SGP......

Can all take the R/R rides ? I am awaiting the precipitation report from our local Weather reporter. After all it is St Swithins day so we could have 40 days of rain ahead. ( Though its never happened )

Well it P'd down for about an hour at 0530 this am. Now overcast and breezy. Sun forecast for later so probably 40 days of typical British weather ahead :P

I see Wolves have changed their riding order (PK to 1.; Freddie to 5.) in order to rebuild Freddie's confidence!! Surely if that were the aim, he would be better riding at 3 for a while?!

It makes very little difference. But I'd argue a rider low on confidence should be at #1. The number 1 goes out against a couple of second strings in heat 1 so should be good for 2 points. Put him at 3 or 5 and his first ride is against 3 heat leaders so more likely to score 0!

Not so sure, maybe away from home, but certainly not at Monmore. The no 1 starts off the outside gates in Heat 1 which at some tracks, particularly Monmore is a major disadvantage.

Its commonplace for the No 2 rider there to pop out and win heat 1. Even Ales Dryml, whom I remember backing 2 or 3 times in Sky meets to win heat 1 at a silly price of around 7/1.

Kings Lynn may be missing two key figures but r/r should be adequate for Milik and Fricke is no slow coach compared to the current state of form of the Wolves team.

So they have switched the heat leaders around to try and get them firing which is a bit like a vet moving the legs of lamb around in a butchers to bring it back to life. PK v Iversen heat one will be ideal for the veteran to start the night after only one point in Sweden last night.

Wells and Karlsson may be useful as second strings but even this weakened team of Kings Lynn should be too strong for Wolves but the performance of Thorssell recently and Musielak possibly looking forward to a big track Wolves could surprise a few.

Home win by 10 or more
