waco
Outclassed they were in many departments but they still put on a good show for the fans result Kent 36 team Fritte Denmark 54...The ludicrous decision to ride Luke Bowen at no2 curtailed the points potential of the Kings even further, you dont put your two top riders in the same race all night they can not both win the race?? , in fact with Kent on a 5-1 in heat one Luke Bowen (guesting) puts Morley in the fence on turn 2 Ben did well to stay on, but went back to last... Some spirited winning rides from James Shanes had the crowd on their feet And Bowen won 4 rides mainly at the expense of Ben..But the rest of the team could,nt cut the mustard against a side with strength in depth who obviously enjoyed the experience and took to the track like a duck to water The crowd looked about average i would say and the meeting flowed without any major incidents... I wonder why there was no preview of the match on the NL BSF section? Edited July 13, 2015 by Guest

cityrebel
Thought that myself Gustix,,Speedway apathy i guess ?probably the same reason test matches are a thing of the past. It seems a lot of fans just want regular domestic team matches, myself included. Even the attraction of seeing a few new riders couldn't tempt me to go tonight. The sad thing is, matches like this are designed to show supporters NEW FACES. And more importantly visitors who on a first appearance at a track have the ability to do well. These Danish riders did just that against Kings and also at Kings Lynn a couple of days previously.

Think I described it well enough, I don't estimate crowds anymore as my guesses got knocked by some people.

For once John I am in total agreement with you.Seems a pity that you get offered something a bit different from the normal teams/riders you can see every week and it doesn't attract a bigger crowd.Ok at King's Lynn it was said there was little or no promotion of the young Danes....... Maybe Bowen was just quicker than Morley.
waco
What ever the merits of speed comparison he did not have to put his team mate in the fence when he was coming by ,,If you were not there dont make pointless comments if you were there you could not fail to see what happened.. I was there. So basically you're holding a grudge because it's your grandson? Racing speedway is dangerous, Bowen of all people would know about that and he wouldn't intentionally impede another rider/team mate. I'll say what I like too thanks.
