Mr Blobby
Great Performance by the boys tonight minus Sedgmen who lets the Berwick track get to his head far to easily. Cook agian fantastic, with one little blip. Backed up well from Wolbert, Worrall and Riss. Good to see Liam Carr scoring big points again and Max chipping in with a few as well. For the Bandits well they couldn't gate to save themselves. Doolan and Jorgensen scored well. Garcia looks a okay prospect gives it 100% but looks like he might struggle on tracks you need to actualy turn. New Swede looked decent 5/6 point man IMO. Looked like he was on Sam Masters bikes well it was certainly his covers anyway with Sams mechanic mechanicing for him as well. Also how edberg still has a team place is a mystery as he complete mince. Edited July 18, 2015 by Mr Blobby
topsoil
Were Edinburgh really that great? Ritchie Wozza replacing Masters? Wolbert less said about him the better Sedgman? class act round Berwick? Liam Carr Maybe were just pish just a thought Wolbert has upped his game considerably from last season. I've also seen Sedgeman have some cracking meetings around Shielfield. Richie Worrall, like his brother likes the track as well. Edinburgh do look strong, probably the strongest team I've seen this year. Certainly wouldn't label Doolan or Jorgensen "pish" if you want to give them an adjective try "100%ers". Garcia also seems to like chasing the dirt as witnessed by his sweep round Wolbert and chasing Sedgeman in heat 8. Couldn't fault his effort. topsoil
Justin Sedgman, cracking meeting around Berwick? please elaborate Scored 7 and 8 in a couple of the meetings last season winning two races in each match. Not in the Cook category granted, but for a second string perfectly adequate. When he gets in front, difficult to catch.
Robinh88
Well at least you replied... And in your wisdom you admit a guy who hates the track is not in the same league as cook

MD
Wolbert has upped his game considerably from last season. Wouldn't be difficult. Perhaps the new engines ordered in 2014 have finally arrived!
spin king
I'd like to know myself :-( You have to wonder with both the Berwick reserves who on paper look one of the strongest in the league not performing. I have been surprised that Bandit fans have not commented on Richard Hall's performances at Sheffield this season. Three meetings rode. Two as Guest rider for other clubs riding the reserve position. One for Berwick. 7 rides 14 points (Guesting for Newcastle) 5 rides 1 point (riding for Berwick) 6 rides 6 points and 2 bonus points (Guesting for Glasgow)
screm
Certainly any PL Play Off are now in tatters, so from that perspective its season over, hopefully our KOC run keeps the season going. As in previous weeks its lack of race winners for the home team that have proved their undoing. Gating problems that is all, surely the start would be set up for how the home riders want it? You would've thought so.
Shadders
Do not despair Bandits fans. It'll all be alright next week when the hapless Rockets turn up and hand you the meeting on a plate. Won't help that they'll be shell shocked from the previous evenings ritual slaughter at Edinburgh. It'll be help yourselves next week with only Kennett & Jakobsen putting up any resistance. Expect a score in the mid 50's And that's not a given eitherAre you on drugs? On a separate note isn't about time Alex and Berwick ended their association Have the race suits been paid for yet? DSC67
Walking out of Shielfield after a defeat seems to be becoming a regular occurrence this season and it's not something I can say I enjoy especially if the performance has been pretty poor . I've never expected us to be title challengers but all way thought we'd do ok at home and after all what matters to most fans is winning at home especially over your local rivals . Once again making decent starts was The Bandits downfall last night you can't give guys like Cook, Worrall & Wolbert a head start and expect to come from behind all the time that simply isn't going to happen is it ? The form of our reserves is now becoming a bit of a problem and their lack points is costing us meetings . With the play offs now looking out of our reach perhaps it's time to give Liam a run , before someone else gives him a team place . Next week it's The Rockets and the KOC and hopefully progression to the next round , maybe our name is on the trophy this year but there some tough teams left in the completion and one-off them are last night victors
topsoil
I'm asking this question as I admit I have total ignorance in this department, but why is it that Berwick riders can't make the gate at home but often do away? Is the track at the start line set up different at Shielfield? I did hear Chris Louis say on Sky that bike set up can be difficult because you see the size of Shielfield and you immediately think of power, but it is a short run to the first corner and if you set the bike up for power it does not always get you off the start quickly. I think it is psychological, with our 2 heat leaders out, and huge expectation to win at home, our riders are experiencing the speedway equivalent of white line fever.

BigRackBandit
Barker could be a great get next season (if fit) for a team like Glasgow. Plenty of money to sort his gear out and a very low average. Delighted that Liam for some good points tonight. Don't particularly like the bloke but credit to Cook, was a cut above the rest, again, like Danny King last week. There was a few decent races tonight to be fair, Doolan and Garcia worked their arses off, as mentioned above, our gating was awful. I'm not in the pits and have no idea about set ups, but mid meeting when we are still not gating, can't our boys and management get together and decide to change their bike set ups? Or at least try and change the track to suit us. I would love to know what the purpose in 3 tractors flying round the outside of the track actually does to benefit the racing or rider safety. I remember a few years back during a meeting, Adrian Rymel instructed our track staff to do a few doughnuts on the 3rd/4th turn to bring the dirt back inside, then in his next race he passed a rider on the 3rd turn on the inside. Shouldn't we be doing that instead of hoying the dirt out to the fence?..just a thought. Edited July 19, 2015 by DeeksYaMahaga

White line fever. That`s brightened up my day no end and I thank you. Most of the Czech riders, and certainly Rymel, were taught about track prep and he did help out at times during his time with us.

Fromafar
It's obvious at Berwick that gating is crucial, you don't have to the fastest rider to stay in front if you ride the right lines on 1st/2ndbend and if you lead down the back straight you will take a lot of beating .it's totally baffling that riders that ride at Home every week cannot set up their bike to gate better, fact is some of them are not good enough.IMO. I think it is psychological, with our 2 heat leaders out, and huge expectation to win at home, our riders are experiencing the speedway equivalent of white line fever.Surely it's not a huge expectation to win at Home,we have a guest for our No1 and R/r for the other.Riders taking extra rides at home should be able to cope IMO .Away is a different matter though.
