screm
Just got back home went on updates thought i was still hungover who would have thought that would happened a big well done to Bandits and Rohan.Still got a job to do in the second leg.Being a Bandit fan is never dull never know whats going to happen next.Hopefully put in a good performance next week against the Smugs. And the good guy's from the West coast are all rooting for you to bring them down a peg now that would be nice and then see you all up at Ashfield on the Sunday for a celebratory get together. Seems Edinburgh have hit one or two injury problems, already without Robert Branford, they now have had Craig Cook and Sam Masters taking heavy falls. Thankfully Cook has had a hospital check up, after taking a bang to his head, and been giving the all clear. Masters went to hospital but left before being seen, he will be checked over by a local hospital for thumb or hand injuries, whether he makes Berwick remains to be seen. Aye it has been a pretty miserable few day's for both Scottish clubs on that front and with Dimitri calling it a day leaves us struggling a bit to find anyone to fill his boots although we can't really complain too much with your top two riders missing for a while now part & parcel i'm afraid. Although the way Jorgensen is riding he may soon take up the No 1 race jacket. Edited July 12, 2015 by Gazc
Shadders
No home meeting for 6 weeks... One riders back from a 2 month injury lay off... Another back after 3 months out... A rider making his home debut... What did everyone expect? No excuses, that was $hit. Beaten by a decent team I can just about take, but by that dross? When Edberg & Hall are winning heats you know you have problems.
Dave Stummings
“I don’t believe it” This was an awful Rockets performance. We seem to blow hot and cold. Kennett on Thursday was awesome at Ipswich, rubbish on Friday for Lakeside, guested at Plymouth yesterday scoring six with a last race fall. He like the whole team seems to blow hot and cold. The starting by the Bandits was far better at counting to 3 and away, Rockets seemed not to catch on to that until after the interval. The referee was poor, again allowing starts that were clearly unsatisfactory she let go but to be fair she did pull a few back that were awfully bad. No doubt we’ll here the same old excuses. Please don’t come on and say the guys haven’t had a meeting in months! Apart from Bowen [why on earth persevere with him again] they’ve all been riding elsewhere regularly. With regards this Rockets team in 2015 it’s been injury jinxed yet again. I prefer my NL speedway if I’m honest, but will still go to see the Rockets. Nothing to race for this year, just pride and hopefully less injuries in 2016…………

topsoil
Never in a million did I see that one coming. Given the fact that Rye House, behind Armadale, is probably our worst away track and our performances of late. Once again TJ and the captain went above and beyond. TJ has to be one of the signings of the season? Interesting to see from the reports above Rye House were 'given a lesson in gating', which I found amusing after the way we have been given lessons in that department by both Peterborough and Ipswich this week. Makes me wonder if starting gate surfaces at tracks can vary that much?

Ben91
Nobody to blame but ourselves. Maasen coming in when we have a free scoring reserve thus pushing Robin into the team was an atrocious decision in the first place. Trying not to sound like I'm getting on the bloke's back but it's just baffling. Luke did more than Greenwood would have today but our reserve pairing before the changes would have scored as many if not more than today's reserves. Especially as Robin could have taken two R/R rides while at reserve and he would have scored more from a reserve berth than he did in the team. Our season hinged on the cup and we've blown it. It isn't hard, play to your strengths, in Kasper and Robin we had a good reserve to back up a strong top two and we have decided to ruin that before our most important meeting of the season. Chris
Putrid performance. If your getting spanked at home by that Berwick side then you have major problems. The afternoon summed up all that is wrong with Rye House speedway and again it comes back to Silver. Track was rubbishe and way to dry to start with. Pointless and much to late putting more water down when well behind & the dust soon returned. The changes made are f'ing abysmal and have messed up any chance of a cup run or play off spot. Massen looks complete crap & the return of Bowen sums up the ambition of silver. The one strength of this Rye side was a strong reserve but silver has taken that away. An 80's cd stuck on all afternoon summed the place up. Everyone associated with the club(riders & promotion) should be disgusted and embarrassed by today's result. Excuses should not be made about no home meetings etc. the riders didn't look like they cared which says it all. Bandits4eva
13 years I've waited to see that again Job only half done but I'd like to think we can say that's us in the Semis though! We won as a team today.. Thank you to Rohan Tungate for an excellent guest performance TJ- what can you say... signing of the season and has more than proved himself Doolie put in his typical Rye performance.. always in amongst the points. Coty done his 4 heats. Had a big off in one of them but bounced back. Didn't score but at the same time he didn't give up and came out after the meeting to attempt to have a look at things with his bike! Our reserves were the key though... they've had a couple of stinkers in the last few meetings but today was the best I've EVER seen Richard Hall at Rye... he rode it like a long track but he seemed to have the speed and made some superb passes... and Alex too.. Definitely had a hard time lately but again, 5 valuable points on a track he doesn't have fond memories of... job done! Looks like Somerset in the Semis if and when we get there!
Shadders
ah there you are this must be the worst day of your life I mean beaten by us where the scum from the north, the worst team in the league we roll at the gate we have Alex edberg yeah life must be sh£t for you now I've had better days, but as I was hammered it softened the blow quite a bit. Still doesn't beat the day we "stole" the league title off you at Exeter in 2005, now THAT was a good day
mythman666
Well done to the Bandits. Great way to bounce back. Well done lads
bigeddiechek
That has to go down as one of the best away meetings I have been to, certainly the best racing I have seen out of my trips to Rye. It's quite an interesting track, with a very tight 1/2, but bends 3/4 offering big blasts round the outside. My heart was in my mouth a couple of times when riders were on the edge of the famous adverse camber. I didn't realise just how sharply it falls away! Jorgensen was just superb, his excellent win in heat 1 set the scene nicely, and a mighty impressive 16 points. What a signing he has been! Garcia was always going to have a difficult night with his first visit to Rye, but battled hard for no return. He was out straight after the meeting putting a few laps in ready for his next visit. He certainly didn't let himself down. Tungate was a very able and solid guest and would have scored more had he not gone through the tapes. Double figures again for Captain Doolan who seemed to the have the whole team totally focused throughout the night. He's surely one the the reasons this Berwick team keep bouncing back despite all the bad luck we've had this season. Alex's win in heat 2, backed-up by Hall put us out in front, and we never looked back. It looks as if he is starting to sort out his mechanical gremlins. Hall was the real surprise of the night for me. Not one of his most favourite tracks, but he was clearly up for this one making a number of passes to battle for all of his 8 points. He held his concentration really well in heat 5 making the gate twice against Mellgren and Aspegren. His ride in heat 11 chasing down Bowen for 4 laps and taking him on the line was superb. I guess you can see I enjoyed that! We obviously caught Rye a bit cold after over a month without a home meeting, but our guys certainly went in and took the opportunity with both hands. The return leg is going to be interesting with two former Bandits in their lineup and Mellgren also quite handy around Shielfield. Certainly no room for complacency. I'm going to avoid any Devilment with regard to the track, because it simply produced very good racing, very dusty, but very good racing. The banter from Shadders and Co. was excellent and looking forward to seeing you guys on the return leg. I think Sarah and I were quite gracious in victory If we fail to reach the 30pt mark our season ends somewhere around 7pm this evening. You needn't have worried, we'd managed that by heat 8. Season still very much alive then
hackneyrocket
I hope the new owner, Warren Scott reads these comments. I cut short my attendance last season after watching crap for most of the time I went and not wanting to waste my heard earnt money. This season is turning out the same way, much prefer to watch the national league side. NBJ being the only positive. Mr Scott, please do something before the crowds dwindle completely.
