cheekycobra
Whatever the outcome it would be harsh on Redcar as it would have been a master plan to print the wrong average and get Grav to put a nail through his foot. The Ref should have had the correct averages and should not have relied on the programme, if that's what happened and the incident should have been sorted at the tapes or after the race In one race Roynon was name Adan, so mistakes happen. A programme isn't gospel.

Yearbyred
The averages were declared pre-meeting with kus on 6.68 and robson on 7.27. Â Those are last months (issue 18) averages, should have changed from 3rd July to Issue 19 averages Kus 6.83 Robson 6.68 surely?
Al Stewart
The referee should always have Green Sheets with them. It is their responsibility. They certainly shouldn't be using the programme, it can easily be wrong. Who was the ref?

cheekycobra
Anyway whatever happens, it was a cracking meeting. Best wishes to Robson and Wright. Though they both seemed OK, they will be stiff tomorrow I bet

I am sure that is correct - can only tell you what was sent out pre-meeting.  Would be a massive shame as pointed out above. The annoying things is if Robson had been r/r i'm not sure the result would have been too much different.
2ndbendbeerhut
Ref's mistake so why should Redcar suffer for his/her inability to do their job! Â Will the result stand? Will Kus' points be docked from that heat? Will the match be rerun( Ipswich rode at Peterborough in the EL and had a match restaged due to an Ipswich rider not being allowed onto the track by the track staff at pit gate, rider was excluded from heat) Edited July 9, 2015 by 2ndbendbeerhut
cheekycobra
Thinking about this, wouldn't the Bears manager phone the ref at the start of the race to inform him Kus is r/r and will be in black and white. Its there fore, up to the ref, there and then, to check that that is legal ?
cyclone
Ref's mistake so why should Redcar suffer for his/her inability to do their job! Â Or you could also say Ref's mistake so why should Somerset suffer for his/her inability to do their job!
2ndbendbeerhut
Â Or you could also say Ref's mistake so why should Somerset suffer for his/her inability to do their job! But did Somerset not notice? So their fault too if no complaint made before the heat?
SCB
You have Redcar suffer because of their inability to know the rules. Or You have Somerset suffer because of Redcars inability to know the rules. Â When you look at it like that, Redcar have to be the team to suffer. They got it wrong. Somerset have done nothing wrong. bringbackHalifax
Programme has to have correct averages in - redcar responsibility Team manager of your club should and will be aware of their riders averages each month even before they change. - redcar responsibility. Checking of programme - home team responsibility Putting right rider in race - team manager responsibility Giving ref programme with correct averages - redcar responsibility Who gained from mistake - redcar Who has innocently lost out - somerset  What happens now 6 points off redcar total. Get over it, stop blaming the ref  It was a good meeting to watch.  Brady Kurtz is one hell of a rider.

I agree the referee gets the full line ups before the meeting with averages and it's his/her job to check everything is in order with regards to facilities etc. Â Did we establish who is the referee because updates don't cover it now.
