sommelier
Definitely. Looked like he hadn't been away. I think Krcmar will be OK, too. He was never off the pace by any means. Agree with you about Krcmar, was very impressive
Anzum
Many west-country folk make the trip to Linekerland? There were about 25 Swindon supporters near me on the 1st bend. Plus several more on bend 4. Never went down back straight to know if there were any there.

Never went down back straight to know if there were any there. Only watched a few away matches but the Robins normally have good away support, never forget The Mad Wellie Express, 1981 I think, when 500 fans, riders, bikes and mechanics, made the long train journey to Edinburgh! The fans deserve that new stadium, speedway is still important in the area. When I used to work as a cabbie/chauffeur had a few passengers from London and elsewhere say what's this speedway thing people here go on about? One Dutch superbiker always went to meetings when staying in the town...he loved it!
65Sarge
As stated before Swindon had to do something as they were going to run with a 6 pointer and bringing Darcy in was the right move However the scores of Ward and Krcmar were similar to guest and Howarth had been getting. Swindons side is no better for the change, the results wont differ and they will end up 5th It seems the fact you are unable to grasp is that whilst Darcy + Ed may not exceed Guest + Kyle, that option will no longer exist very soon and Darcy + Ed is highly likely to exceed Kyle + Premier League 6 point rider. Ergo, the change was necessary to give Swindon ANY chance of the Play Offs, plus the potential for increased crowds and revenue. Halifaxtiger
How was Krcmar impressive. 2 points from 5 rides is really poor....Only beat........Wilkinson and Roynon If you didn't go, you wouldn't know. I wouldn't say he was impressive but he was much better than his score suggests.
shinyhine
Oh dear, 'Rogue Rossiter's' team couldn't even beat Leicester. My heart truly bleeds purple p!ss. Suffice to say, WELL DONE Leicester. Rossiter, 'Team GB Manager', do one you utter pleb. Don't you like rosco ?

EnglishRoundabout
I don't need to be there but to describe Krcmar as impressive when Eduard scored 2 points from 5 rides and only beat 2 Unattached Elite Draft Riders is hardly impressive....... Don't matter how well you ride.......You need to score the points.....Points mean wins and league points......Riding well, scoring 2 points and losing the meeting doesn't help the team out or Swindon out in the table. Early days so you don't expect Krcmar to score well as Eduard hasn't ridden Leicester before Riders can still be impressive even despite their score. For example on Friday night at Somerset, Morten Risager only scored 3 points but was in the mix in almost every race, at times coming from the back but over cooking it slightly, then fighting back again to challenge later in the race. Similarly, Ollie Greenwood scored only 2 points, but one of them was achieved by keeping the experienced Sam Simota behind him for all four laps. It may be that impressive is the wrong adjective, possibly combative, but either way, entertainment is provided!

Agree ER, the same can be said for a rider that has a very low average of say 3 and who scores 6 in one meeting or one who is usually half a lap behind and then improves, beats the opposition and scores 1 or 2 points. DunRobin
Oh...Still I didn't expect Krcmar to do much...It will take time for Eduard to settle in. Just in time for the play-offs & then you can use him as a guest. You usually need our riders to assist you in the play-offs.
mrcts
Swindon should be looking at 4pts from this meeting. No disrespect to Leicester but on paper this should be one of the easier away meetings. Don't give up your day job,you must be the worst predictor I've come across. The last four Leicester home matches you have predicted 4 point wins for the opposition when anybody with any great knowledge of Speedway would know that the opposition we have faced in those matches namely Wolves,Belle Vue and Swindon twice are no particular great shakes. If Ward & Cook hadn't fell in heat 13 then Swindon would have won it so my prediction wasn't that far out. TBF I didn't Predict Zagar to score 1. Both Swindon & Belle Vue are stronger teams on paper (and the table supports this)You forget to mention that I was right when predicted wins for King's Lynn, Poole and Coventry on both occasions 😄 Edited July 12, 2015 by mdmc82

A 34 year old reserve in the draft system is just plain ridiculous.

Agree with that, too many matches are decided by the strength of the reserves and god forbid they promote one into the 1-5 next year.. Anyway, hard lines to the less than Rockin' Robins last night.. Our new No 1 looks quite promising, not sure why the Devil's own cast him asunder

Tbf I don't think he is available 'to pick' but they had to do something 'to guest' as it would probably mean getting a tier 2 rider in Auty's place. Agree with that, too many matches are decided by the strength of the reserves and god forbid they promote one into the 1-5 next yea Agree but they have to do what's best for their business it's the problem with Teams being Commercial entities rather than cubs
