The Darcy Ward Show! Swindon V Poole - Mon 13th July 7.30 Elite League (sky Meeting)

Well he keeps getting involved in stuff which is not his business.

To be honest I think this whole situation is childish and ridiculous.....I have been arguing for days.............All because I said Gomolski is under achieving......

Don't want to start the situation up again but Chris4gillian sent me abuse and everything when I mentioned team changes...........However I haven't seen Chris4gillian send anyone else posts typed in capitals or abuse...who are talking about team changes in the Poole 2015 topic.....Or Pirate Oliver on here when we both agreed about Gomolski.

I am prepared to leave the situation alone now because I don't want to ruin the forum for others.....But it seems as though other posters don't want to....

Looks like you're rubbing a number of other forum members up the wrong way. We can't all be wrong. Even Starman thinks you're a plonker and that's a real achievement!

And you're definition of abuse is counter posting which is all I have ever done. Yes I've said you're a :icon_smile_clown: which is within forum rules and I stand by it as you prove it post after post and by your PM's.

I haven't counter argued (or in your world sent abuse) to any other posters as nobody else has posted the nonsense you have.

Keep it coming as a lot of us are laughing at ya! :t:

Reduced admission must always be a dilemma for the promoters who do it....

The simple reason is that the inevitable increase in crowd merely demonstrates to them the fact that the usual admission costs are far too high whilst at the same time also clearly demonstrates that at 'the right price' a big crowd will still attend the sport....

The dilemma therefore is how to deliver the outgoings for the sport which facilitates enough income from such admission fees every week....

Easy to say, much more difficult to do, however the massive prize on offer is clearly there if they can...

Just as an aside, do any of the promoters who do this reduced admission ever take email details, mobile numbers, home addresses etc off the crowd to target them with more offers to get them to attend more often??

Speedway is not affordable to a lot of families and many question value for money aswel. 15 drawn out races where most is first out wins. Speedway needs new ideas fast.

Reduced or free admission is all well and good but once you have attracted the crowd by that method, and it usually will work, Brits love anything free, you must show them something that they consider worth paying for.

Free admission got Lakeside a near 5000 crowd (accepted some would have been other clubs existing fans) but how many came back. They clearly didn't think what they saw warranted the usual admission cost

The actual cost is largely irrelevant anyway. People simply want value for money, if they spend a fiver they want goods to the value of a fiver.

Speedway in its current guise is nowhere near value for money at £16.00 plus (admittedly £16.00 on the gate only equates to a little over £13.00 nett).

So when the season ends how about we all have a get together somewhere neutral in the middle of the UK we could all meet and say hi I go under the name of etc etc.of course outside would be 10 riot vans plus watercannon sorry that's banned, inside maybe a person who solves problems? Anyway a few drinks should chill us out get disputes sorted and all be friends for 2016?

I know a number of ex regular bees fans who no longer go as they all say it's too expensive.

As for the cov sky match, even if it wasn't bad weather it would of still been a very poor crowd, there was no reduction to get fans out of there homes unlike Leicester & Swindon.

Promotors are killing the sport.

that is where the issue lies... Was the promotion being greedy thinking the fans will pay whatever...? ... Obviously.

why? This isn't the darcy ward thread it's the Swindon v poole match so any rider involved is worthy of discussion

Sky sports was ALL about Darcy so why should this thread be any different ;)

Heroes return for a banned rider, what next for Darcy a return to the GP this year ?

I'm very surprised that Poole charge for children under 10 years old to get in. With every other club it is free. (wolves £1)

Are you a bit bored this morning?? Children Under 5 are Free; 5-10 £4.

I guess its a similar question as to why Coventry charge £18 for Adults when most others only charge £17
