The Darcy Ward Show! Swindon V Poole - Mon 13th July 7.30 Elite League (sky Meeting)

Recommended Posts

The only person stopping, Darcy (the rider), being World champion, is the person himself........ He has shown he is more than capable of beating anyone on the track, but he has to beat his rival off the track........ Taking a leaf out of Holder's or Woffy's behaviour book, wouldn't do him any harm at all........

Tai is the example for Ward, people on here not so long ago were saying he didn't deserve his chance back in the series. He was not that popular was hardly flavour of the month even with me,but he has won people over me included. After his beloved Dad Rob died Tai changed and what a transformation he is a credit to our sport and as World Champion what an ambassador he is a breath of fresh air.Darcy by what i have heard is well liked if he can get his off track stuff sorted well he is in the mix but TAI will take some dismantling and Emil is a huge threat.I believe Ward will win World Titles in the next ten years, but the hard work begins now watching him ride is a absolute pleasure. Can the Robins get him to ride for us next year? open the new stadium we can only dream i suppose.

Gater 1 - explain why you were a Swindon fan last season and a Poole fan now? And you should know how 95% of Swindon fans really feel about Batch seeming as you were one of us last season!

Gater1 is Dak North! :o

What would Sedgmen's DU Average be......Gomolski scored 4 points and 3 of those was in a race against Krcmar, Wright and Newman

We will be stronger when Davey becomes a Heat Leader again..............Yes I know MF hasn't but what I am telling you is that MF always has a plan........When was the last time we went a full season without changing at least 1 rider?........I am not team bashing I haven't even criticised Dak North all I said is that he would draw the short straw......

So its obvious you have a personal problem with me.....so send me a PM and we will sort it out.

Your the biggest idiot on here.....All that BS you posted about Batchelor last night and you meant it.

And that is what I have said for the last god knows how many hours...............Therefore you are agreeing with me........When I said MF always has a plan........

Like I said you wanted to have a pop because you have a personal problem with me.

I have never supported Peterborough so you are talking BS.

I haven't got the time or the inclination to 'debate' this topic with you any further as you're just coming across as a :icon_smile_clown: who has absolutely no idea what they're typing about. As for a PM...see the above sentence!

Poole this season are doing fine and may well top the EL with the current 1-7. You want changes for changes sake and at the moment they're unnecessary.

How will we be stronger when Davey becomes a heat leader again? He will drop more points and Holder (assuming he drops down) might score a few more thus cancelling each other out. Is it really that difficult to comprehend?

I have no 'problem' with you personally, but your posts are generally complete nonsense and constantly attack the team you claim you support. That is my 'problem' as you put it. Oh and how can you state, and I quote "When was the last time we went a full season without changing at least 1 rider?" when this is the first season you've ever supported Poole? Like I said, complete :icon_smile_clown:

A catastrophic start to their meeting got mildly better as the meeting progressed but the Pirates couldn't quite maintain their sequence of picking up some league reward for their efforts, eventually going down by 8 points to the rejuvenated Swindon Robins.

Don't you just love the Poole website 10-8 down after three heats is a catastrophic start to the meeting. :nono:

If you had actually watched the meeting (or been there like I and the rest of the faithful were) you will know that:

Heat 1 - Holder packs up and cost Poole a 4-2 and made it a 4-2 for Swindon

Heat 2 - Poole set for a 4-2 again but Starke loses it off bend 4 and makes it a 3-3

What should have been Poole 8 Swindon 4 was Poole 5 Swindon 7. A lot of bad luck for the pirates, no too mention further happenings as the meeting went on. Both teams put in a tremendous battle which really served to showcase the sport and the great promotion down at Blunsdon.

Looking past all the Darcy Ward trifle... besides Wright & Newmans battles that was very poor racing in my opinion.

Swindons track so big and slick it's a bit of a gaters paradise.

Gater 1 - No abuse from me on your football team. I'm a long suffering yid as well!

I thought it was poor last night from about heat 7 onwards. Track looked too dry and slick. Certainly been a lot better meetings than that this season at home.

Hopefully we can do something this year. lol.

The only good thing about last night was the great battles between the MOTM Wright & Newman.

I say the same thing at this time of every year. For the past 20 years! I like Poch but he needs to be given the cash to buy some quality attackers. Players like Mason are hard working and honest but not top class IMO. Better stop talking footy now before people kick off!

Good one....I genuinely mean that....

You are not me.

Davey was scoring 5 to 7 a meeting when not fully fit riding at No.1 most weeks....Davey is now fully fit and has more experience as a Heat-Leader than Dak.......................Davey at No.3 and North at No.4 would work out better for us.....with Gomolski riding at No.2

You do.

Yet again you cant answer the question because you know I am right........That's why you can only send abuse because you cant come up with a reply to my questions.....

You are the clown fella not me....

As for thecoombdog my grandparents live in Swindon and support Swindon......The first speedway meeting I went to was at Swindon however I always enjoyed watching Poole more not because of the success even if Poole wasn't successful they would still be my team. I have said on many occasions that I am a Spurs fan so I am not a glory hunter as we win nothing every year lol...........................................................................I expect more abuse to come from that reply but oh well.

I understand what you are saying....However if you just beat the Elite Draft riders then that's 4 points so basically Gomolski is not really beating anyone.....

Lost to Adam Ellis at home last week......This week half a straight behind Charles Wright and Kyle Newman.......Not riding like the Swedish Elitserien and Polish Ekstraliga rider is he?

New Post:

I will get more abuse for saying this but.....Including myself how many of us said Gomolski would make a mockery of his starting average when we signed him? The answer is near enough everyone.

surely you are the unluckiest person in the world.... :P

As for last night, missed my first fixture of the season due to the fact it was raining in Bristol and I didn't fancy travelling with the possibility of it being called off. Darcy looked an excellent addition to the team. Quick and smooth in front. Zengi showed why it was a 'no brainer' he should be kept with another impressive haul of points but Wright was, for me, MotM. Gets stuck in and not frightened to mix it either. Some good battles wih Newman.

Overall, a comfortable win but away wins are now the order of the day. Must target the Wolves away matches as must win because they are so poor. 2 wins there would go a long way to deciding 4th place in our favour.

Then somebody has led you to believe incorrectly.

i am sure it was mentioned in a post not long ago that it had no effect on the averages. may be some one like scb or another of gods gift to speedway regs can give us the answer.

needn't go to the bspa, they wont know.

Agree with those comments re Wolves. They remind me of us back in 2011. I thought that was the worst team in EL history with the worst number 1 but Wolves and Freddie are right up there I'd say.

Yes heat 15 and r/r rides all count towards a riders averages. Swindon did really weel for saying they had lost one of their reserves but Wright rode like a hero. From the interviews with Middlo, I don't think he see's eye to eye with Matt Fords decision to leave Ward out of the team now his ban is over. But the way I see it is nothing to do with spliting up the side but the fact that Matt Ford has no faith in Ward keeping his nose clean and if he fails the blame will not fall on Pooles door step.

I pesonally hope that he has got his life on the right track now. Because he knows that anymore mistakes and his riding days are over. The only winners in this issue are Swindon.

It would really rub salt in Fords wounds if Ward decided to stay with Swindon insead of going back to Poole. You could not blame him really if he did.

What question(s)? I will answer anything asked directly at me.

And if using the :icon_smile_clown: icon (as provided by this forum) is considered abuse then I fear for you in the real world :D
