2ndbendbeerhut
Manzares suffering from Flu nearly pulled out. Kennett and the Dane looked good for Rockets, particularly Kennett who beat King at Foxhall earlier in the season too. Didn't look happy all night so would explain it. 11 matches left for that vital 7 point ave for Manzares and Tungate. Manzares now needs 8.37 points per match, Tungate 7. so so happy for maassen tonite such an inspired signing he scored a gifted point, well done son. Heeps joins Wells and Tungate by gifting Maassen his PL points
ZODIAK
If he had Flu there is no way he could have ridden. More likely man flu which is a common cold... Having had full blown flu, totally agree with you Blu!

Yeah if he can ride like that with the flu, he should be world champ without it!
spanner47
Probably the worst meeting since the track got changed, but you can only beat what's put in front of you. But these last 2 meetings I haven't liked the track, does Bob also still do Mildenhall? As they've had problems for the past 2 weeks as well, if this is the case, will Bob be back to prepare something half decent for neat week? Baldyman
What did you think was wrong with the track? To grippy. Slick. Wet. Dry? What I did notice was for the first 10 or so races everyone was using the same line about 1 and half metre from curb.

westhamboy66
Well done Edward that performance silenced the knockers about his ability to be a real No1. To beat Danny King on his own track not easy Average performance from NBJ and four NL standard riders gave us what we expected. Shows how poor Ipswich really are. With Aspgren, Mellgren and Lykke we would have walked. Awful racing. As for Maassen he can gate but had no idea how to ride the track, he's not the answer at reserve but i doubt that he is as bad as being made out on here. Kyle Hughes showed that he is a million miles from PL standard as did Dan Greenwood, not their fault though. Shame that the ludicrous rules robbed us of watching Bradley Wilson Dean. There didn't appear to be that grip that Gino liked up the inside, like there was a few weeks ago, but it just could have been he was feeling rough. But it seems most of our lot prefer this way. I just liked it when it was inside line for the first 6-7 heats, then a nice run on the outside later.

Eddie was excellent agreed.Maassen was sharp out of the gate a couple of times agreed but yes he was that bad after. Like a scalded cat from the gate but like a dead one round the bends. Also disagree re Greenwood to an extent. Yes not always quick but always in control and his 2nd place passing and repassing Stefan was the race of the night! Shouldve got an extra ride in 14 although can see why Rye wanted Maassen to have more track time
Bash
C'mon Bruv, did the sun affect you last night , the race you were talking about was with Ashley Morris not Stefan , and agree he should've been given an extra ride in heat 14. Maassen doesn't seemed to have improved from a couple of years ago and would probably struggle in the national league.

2ndbendbeerhut
Rye House boss John Sampford said: It was also a very grippy track tonight more so than usual but the boys got stuck in and gave it their all. I have got no arguments about their effort.
