Ipswich Witches Vs Rye House Rockets Thurs 9th July

Recommended Posts

Ellis & Wilson-Dean are guesting for Boxall & Mellgren, who average is over 6. It'll be Massen and Greenwood at reserve

Probable line up:

1. Kennett

2. Wilson-Dene

3. Ellis

4. RR (Boxall)

5. Jakobsen

6. Greenwood

7. Massen

If Ipswich don't hit 60+ they should be ashamed of themselves

So you have a guest for Boxall and R/R for him too? ;)

Thought Maassen came in for Boxall?

Lastest issue of green sheets has:
1 Eddie Kennett 8.78
2 Robin Aspegren 5.44
3 Anders Mellgren 6.11
4 Kasper Lykke 5.77
5 Nicolai Jacobsen 7.39
6 Dan Greenwood 3
7 Danny Maassen 5
So whos in for who again?
r/r for injured Lykke then no facilty for the 2 swedes? so if its no facilty its 2 Nl guests that never achieved a Pl ave of over 4... but Ellis has!
im confused!

Of course, my mistake. RR for Kasper Lykke. Anyway you look at it, it'll be a massacre

Appalling team. Only thing worth watching in this one will be Uncle Len's reactions!

Or Chris Louis' reactions when he realises how much he has to pay!

Maybe difference is that Rye are using him as a guest for a rider with more than 5pt average??

Except the rules don't allow that. AFAIK NL riders cannot actually guest. If they're giving him a 5 point PL average, he cannot be a "NL Guest".

Looking at the Swedish fixture list it would have been very difficult for Rye House to avoid this. Only a couple of spare dates from May - September, and Newcastle (with their 2 Swedes) grabbed one of those. But I'm a bit surprised that they didn't try and arrange one of their Thursday night away meetings in early June when the Swedes weren't riding.

Maybe in the "interests of the sport", the home side should be able to allow the weakened away side at least one proper guest, the home side still win, but we don't have to watch lesser riders struggle. Or is that too simple?

Dear oh dear. We all like to see our team win, but against some good opposition. Hope Kennett busk and Ellis have some good races to at least make it worth watching. I think I will make a late call if I bother going to this or not.

EastEnders will be on.

Might be more exciting.

Im taking some positives

1 - should be a comfortable win for the Witches

2 - if the guests rules are going to be 'flexed' then to do so to give a rider such as Adam so more PL action is a good reason

3 - Will be interesting to see BWD and how he measures up against the glowing reports

Are Ipswich starting every heat off 15 metres back? Won't make a lot of difference to the score but could be more interesting.

well if thats the case then it should be an easy night for kennet and jakobsen they should score at least 28 points without a double or r/r ride, ellis maybe 12 or 14 the rest who knows you could find yourself in trouble.forget that idea start them all off together and give yourself a chance lol.
