OILYRAG
I see Rob said in the programme that if they run next season that they will run on Sunday evenings , that rules 3 of us sometimes 4 and two kids out of attending , good luck with whatever you decide. Halifaxtiger
It all comes back to value for money and whatever way you look at it currently Speedway is terrible value for money. What you do about that is another matter but as Rob says promoters do need to wake a realise there putting on a pretty terrible product and asking high prices for the privalidge The really ironic thing is that not at Scunny it isn't. Taking Tungate out for a moment, that's two superb quality speedway meetings back to back I have seen there. Somerset perhaps aside, I haven't seen that anywhere else. I see Rob said in the programme that if they run next season that they will run on Sunday evenings , that rules 3 of us sometimes 4 and two kids out of attending , good luck with whatever you decide. Its a real shame but it is pretty much inevitable that Sunday evening won't suit some. I prefer Fridays, but Sunday at that time would be OK. The thing is all that Rob said about Fridays was true and his attendances simply aren't good enough then. He has to change.
phillwhitewasmad
Sunday's ain't no good to me either due to sons grasstrack commitments but rather Sunday afternoons and been able to attend 50% of the meetings than Friday nights and no meetings , Sunday's were always well attended so good luck Rob remember all publicity is good publicity

PaulS
Sunday evenings are an awesome way to end the week, speaking as a Newcastle fan. Friday nights most people are knackered from work and either want to lie on the sofa or hit the booze. I really hope the Scorpions can try at least another season. Best wishes to Rob.
EC Rides Again
The start time mentioned in the programme notes was 6.30 pm. Suits me, as it brings back pleasant memories of my childhood summer Sundays and 6.45 tapes up at New Hammond Beck Road.

Shale Searcher
what i find strange is the poles love speedway and we probably have more of them over here than there are in Poland (sorry i had to get that one in) i cant say i have noticed any of them attending speedway why is that anyone got any thoughts? can we not tempt a few of them though the door. Myth, supposition, not true.... every time I register a Polish person for temporary work in Leicester, I always ask which team they support, it's about the same ratio of people that even know what speedway is!! Don't forget, Poland is a very large Country..... The ones I see are surprised at what I say about Poles and speedway...
Robinh88
they don't go because its rubbish I met a gorzow fan who went to Berwick once, he said it was that bad he would never go again Granted not all Polish meetings are packed or is the racing top notch but they are so passionate about there Speedway. proud panther
Most Poles don't attend Speedway in England because they send most of their money home to set themselves up later in life. KIRKYLANE
Rob is absolutely right regards bringing on the younger riders at the bottom of the team. There are those that want build a team with strength at reserve to make sure they have a chance of winning the league.... and all this does is increase the wage bill for the promoters. It is time to live within our means....
