Arson fire
No one had made the start of 4 all night, then up pops Nicki, as he does... Clipping the fence cost him valuable ground though and NkI came through with a little shove... Hes box office imo.
Phlipphlopp
Too many throttle jockeys in the sport now who think speedway's just twist, go and turn left. That's no way to talk about Garrity........
Tsunami
Can't see why Nicki was excluded because Kildermand turned early and tried to block him. Agree. There was a light nudge, but Kilderman was in control, but after a couple of metres, he decides to slide off very easily. Beware Peter. keepturningleft
Nothing new under the sun - for Nicki P, read Ove Fundin
Tsunami
Nothing new under the sun - for Nicki P, read Ove Fundin Quite agree. A great hard racer who went onto the track to win, and not to win friends. And look how he is still admired today.
INCOGNITO
After the Kildemand incident the cameras were on him in the pits and he looks into the camera and says "No contact what so ever" He watches the replay and is interviewed "Yes there was contact but he lifts his leg and goes down too easy" He straightened up bringing Kildemand down but the Doyle incident earlier to me was when Doyle had made the pass. Cardiff isn't usually his best place but you can be sure he will be in the fight till the time he can't catch Tai Woffinden.
Gemini
Nothing new under the sun - for Nicki P, read Ove Fundin I'm not so sure that Ove took the boos as cheerfully as Nicki does though. When I was in my impressionable teens ~ and yes that was a long time ago ~ I felt so sorry for him looking really sad in the Leicester pits that I wrote to him via his club in Sweden and received a very nice air mail letter back from him. Still have it in fact.

Gemini
lol. I've always had a sense of justice and fair play. Ove was always booed at Leicester and he looked so sad sitting on his own in the pits I felt sorry for him. I can't believe I even used to look in the pits but obviously I must have done back then.
Gemini
I think his best effort was at Coventry when he had two of our riders off at the same time. Billy Janniro didn't seem to like that move.

Gemini
Thanks SCB as I wouldn't have been able to answer that one. Anything going back more than a few days ~ no chance.

Yet you remember the flirtatious love notes to and from Ove Fundin!
Gemini
Ah....but that's because I've still got it in my 'Treasure Box' along with my Ration Book, I.D. Card, my daughter's belly button plastic thingy when she was born, (bit dried up now after 48 years) son's appendix stitches, (1982) my gallstones (1977) Perhaps I'd better not go on but I'm sure you get the gist. So the love notes to Ove have the same sentimental value as your daughter's birth.... Your daughter doesn't look a bit scandinavian by any chance?
CB252
Would have been about 2003, he was riding for Oxford and took out Fisher and Janniro in the middle of the 1st and 2nd bend at Coventry. It was 2003 but it was Robbo and Janniro. Happened across the DVD the other day. Great fun. I actualy think our two went down pretty easy watching it again. Don't remember feeling that way when it happened!
