Humphrey Appleby
It seems that the Warsaw experience is starting to develop a long term sour after-taste....Ole Olsen / BSI / etc keep shooting themselves in the foot and Gorzow don't want any blood on their carpets, thank you very much. I think the discontent precedes the Warsaw debacle, as there appears to have been some in the Gorzow City Council that were outraged by how much they were paying for the GP, which is why the figures got leaked.
severnsider
I am not sure that there are general problems with Polish speedway (admittedly GB speedway would be over the moon if had the same attendances) and the crowds at league matches seem to be not that healthly, according to a polish speedway magazine the rider salaries have dropped a lot from a few years ago in the extraliga, the attendances at Torun for the pairs and the SEC and also for the imme at Leszno have been poor as was the attandance at Gdansk on Saturday. Then there is Gdansk and Czestochowa "bankruptcy" and the continuing money issues at Bydgoszcz and Lublin I think these issues are behind some of the talk even though a new deal was struck regarding the TV coverage at a much higher price. New Science
Gorzow have been putting it out in the press about not renewing the contract with BSI long before the Warsaw fiasco.Seems they are not happy about the size of the staging fee and there will have to be a renegotiation if Gorzow are to remain on the circuit. Not sure there are many Polish circuits lining up to take there place thou.
Ozrik
Maybe BSI will have to be more flexible or realistic in negotiating staging fees. If major circuits in Poland are grumbling, despite the strongest fan base, then where to next for speedway gp.
Ghostwalker
Jan Konikiewicz head of SEC believes that Gorzow will remain in the GP-calender because, according to him, the Gorzow GP is to important for BSI to drop. However he is also talking/negotiating with Gorzow for SEC. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=sv?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/543981/sec-realna-alternatywa-dla-grand-prix-w-gorzowie-to-zapewne-proba-wywarcia-presj

Torun are meant to keep the ticket receipts for GP and town pays the licence fee so if the same in Gorzow the club would have done quite well on Saturday
DutchGrasstrack
Speaking of Torun: they seem to be staging the GP much earlier then usual next year according to the boss of the German speedway forum.
severnsider
The first Torun GP was in the middle of the season. Was very hot that day
New Science
Read on Polish site today that the PZM are recommending only 2 GP's in Poland next year ,Torun and an other
PHILIPRISING
POLISH clubs not happy with Witkowski's remark ... Gorzow by no means out of the frame for 2016, especially after Saturday's event, which made them money. Both Torun and Warsaw have on-going contracts. Expect some announcements about Warsaw 2016 shortly.

PHILIPRISING
And what's that we are gonna be refunded our 2015 GP ticket money WELL, that would be down to the PZM, who sold the tickets, but are they liable if the meeting went to Heat 12? SCB
WELL, that would be down to the PZM, who sold the tickets, but are they liable if the meeting went to Heat 12? Yes, because the tickets said 16! Why does speedway always want to screw over the fans?!
PHILIPRISING
Yes, because the tickets said 16! Why does speedway always want to screw over the fans?! MAYBE they are making some sort of special offer to 2015 tickets holders for next year's event. All sorts of rumours floating around Gorzow at the weekend but nothing official though one Polish journo suggested a press conference early in October. racers and royals
I know what they will do-as the tickets were so cheap in 2015, they will double the price but give all 2015 ticket holders a 50% discount

I think Gorzow want a GP and BSI want a GP there, but if it happens it will be on terms to suit Gorzow .Gorzow were also meeting sponsors last weekend as well as being a major sponsor of the GP series as a whole,BSI have a lot to lose and Unfortunately the days of a Dutch auction between Polish tracks fighting to get on the calender are long gone. PHILIPRISING
NOT sure about that. Know of at least two other Polish tracks vying for a GP, which is another reason why Witkowski's words (only SGPs in Poland) didn't go down well. My names plucked out of thin air would be Rzeszow and Zielona Gora-because they have both recently up-graded their stadiums.

Wont the stadium work being done at Wroclaw be completed by spring 2016.
