pubichair
You think so, i thought it was very tame compared to last year... One of the best GP's you've seen. Clearly you are easily pleased then... last years British Grand Prix was better! Personally found this gp quite boring You think so, i thought it was very tame compared to last year... waiheke1
Thought that was the best racing I've seen from a Cardiff gp. The whole package is speedway as it should be. Really is proving to be an excellent go series, has top level speedway ever been this good. Good night for the brits - with the exception of harris- and the young poles. Lindback was superb. Isnt it amazing that with no one condoning/defending his various misbehaviours how we haven't ended up with 100s of pages of debate about him... Totally over the top reaction from dome on here about woffys words. Personally think him giving the finger to the podium photo worse than what he said. Not particularly smart thing to do but does it really matter in the scheme of things?

Ovalman
If the crowd was 45000 excellent, superb racing, will never know but how many league fans attend Cardiff, must be a large amount that just attend the British gp, fantastic atmosphere, and crowds seem to grow every year, wish we could say same for leagues. Best gp series for years so far, they've finally got the big arena tracks right after years of mediocrity. Roll on the world cup. PHILIPRISING
it's quite funny people going on about people swearing when what the winner been charged with of late . HASN'T been charged apparently and the accusation withdrawn, dis-proven, whatever.

You have 29 different British tracks so that's only an average of about 1500 fans from each track if every fan was British .. Obviously that's not the case but you also have riders and ex riders with their wives and girlfriends there.. Track staff, club officials with their families.. Plus also all the fans from poland Sweden Denmark etc
PHILIPRISING
DIDN'T get the final attendance figure before I left the stadium but do know it was over 40,000 and a few hundred up on last year.

What's the capacity of the stadium for speedway?
FAST GATER
Great GP winner deserved to do so perhaps Peter Karlsson( probably the one of the most respected riders in speedway today ) can have a word in Tai's ear and we should leave it at that !!!! PHILIPRISING
THIS was actually the first Cardiff GP I have watched as a spectator in the grandstand rather than being marooned in the pits viewing the racing on a TV monitor. Personally thought the racing, which isn't solely about passing but, in my view, about how close riders can actually engage at such high speeds, was fabulous. Can attest to the fact that all the riders thought the track was the best ever at Cardiff and one of the very best they have ridden on anywhere, temporary or otherwise. Why? Because they could trust the surface, not be fearful of hitting a rut and being thrown off course in danger of doing damage to themselves or others. And they could use several different lines, including the inside which by definition is the shortest way round. It also underlined to me how different live sport is to watching on TV, even when in the stadium. The noise in the final when Woffinden was challenging Lindback was breath-taking. Spoke to some guys at the hotel later who are Welsh rugby fans and said that they felt the atmosphere for the speedway, with the roof closed (not just because it insures against the weather) was better than for anything they had witnessed there. Nah hopefully Tai will read the negative stuff about him and feel like a right idiot for doing what he did.
PHILIPRISING
What's the capacity of the stadium for speedway? NOT sure of the actually figure but obviously a lot more than 40,000. However, to maintain a figure in excess of that when attendances generally are plummeting is highly commendable.
Mike.Butler
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought racing was excellent. Atmosphere on a par with Warsaw. What a shame we rarely get much atmosphere at league matches as fewer and fewer of us attend weekly/fortnighty/monthly* delete as applicable for local track..
Ovalman
Think its around 65000 so over 2/3 full is good when you consider the total attendances at the 30ish league clubs
Steve Shovlar
Then the crowd was tamer for everyone as Tai had the biggest cheer, as expected. Woffinden was always going to get the biggest cheer, never a doubt about that. However it was quiet compared to the reception Mark Loram received. Back then I used to be deaf for days after with ringing ears. Although Tai had the majority of support, it was the British GP, the talk in the pubs was of general discontent about his disrespect to British Speedway. I have critisized him about his failure to support British racing but of course cheered him last night.

That's the problem I took someone to Cardiff, they loved it, but lost interest after attending a league meeting
Trees
We've all got to be more up for our league meetings, perhaps having sections of the stadiums closed off is the way to go, like Wolves, Poole and Sheffield, because if you get a concentration of people they will 'make some noise' together 😁
