foreverblue
I wonder if the GP would get a bigger gate if held away from Cardiff. How about a temporary track at Old Trafford? No thank you it's bad enough having to go to Manchester for the world cup!
andys
I think it's what known as a come back fail... Oh and names have capital letters too! Is that right, so the only comeback you have is a capital letter God it must be great being you!!!!
foreverblue
Does Old Trafford have a roof? No it doesn't that's another good reason for keeping it at Cardiff. I really don't see the point of changing the venue, Cardiff is a great venue for speedway.
OveFundinFan
There are venues through out the UK that have roofs - Manchester has an arena with a roof, very close to city centre, but not large enough for a speedway track. Think Sheffield has a roofed arena, but again it looks too small for a track.
speedibee
Where do you think Scunthorpe is? What nationality are his parents? Was it his decision to move to Oz when he was 3 years old. Niamh Niamh Do you think I'm a bit daft or something . of course I know where Scunthorpe is . I've actually been there . it's just outside Melbourne In Australia .Durrrrhhh , so that makes his parents Australians . I wonder if he ever met Dorothy when he was In OZ

Shadders
Spare us that happening...! Been reading about Kenny Carter. The golden boy of his era. A bad boy, but loved by the fans. Then he murdered his wife. Can't complain about a few tattoos and the odd swear word can you?
Triple.H.
I know of 4 people who attended there 1st ever meeting this weekend at Cardiff, all of them are itching to go again next year and I've been asked to recommend somewhere to go to see a league match. Certainly not , Kenny of course was always fiercely patriotic and would never have dreamt of not riding in the British final , or not riding in the British Leagues .
Triple.H.
Saw Kenny Carter ride at Oxford in a British semifinal carried out of the pits and sat on his bike due to his broken leg, still came out for his last ride even though he'd scored enough already to qualify. Now that is a problem I wouldn't want to have ... even if you chose the absolute best league match this year . the come down from cardiff will leave the newbies shocked . good luck with finding something though
R87
No disrespect to Wales & Cardiff However, The British GP needs to be taken to the Olympic Stadium in London for the sport to progress in the future in the UK, so it has a 60,000 capacity with retractable seating to allow a running track, unsure what would be lost capacity wise but you could end up with 40-50,000 seats being filled. You may change your mind when you see the prices for tickets, travelling, accommodation, food and drink etc. Cardiff isn't exactly cheap, but compared to what Wembley would be.... Daniel Smith
Wouldn't the NEC be an ideal venue or is it too small ? The M.E.N. Manchester has the largest permanent seating capacity at around 19,
Guest GiveusaB
I wonder if the GP would get a bigger gate if held away from Cardiff. How about a temporary track at Old Trafford? No !!!!!!!!! Why do we need a bigger crowd? We go there to watch the racing, not look at the person sitting next to you ! The atmosphere at Cardiff was and is, always the best imo...... Besides, if there were more spectators, it would take me even longer to get seved at the bar ! : ) The British GP is about the whole package, not just 3 hours racing imo Cardiff is a great City to accommodate such an event ! Even the foreign riders say that it's the pinnacle of the GP season....it's the 'Wimbledon' of speedway! Admittedly it's not the best race track, but at least there was some passing moves, which is more than can be said for a few EL tracks this season ! Dont try and fix something that aint broke........Long may it continue!
THE DEAN MACHINE
Of course sponges would cause a problem in a fuel tank to the fuel and I agree with kelv which I never thought I would ever say.. would it though ? In a direct injection system yes but speedway bikes uses carbs and the engine is fed by the fuel in float bowl which will do half a lap before it runs out even when no fuel is turned on so even reduced flow would still fill the float chamber quicker than it was used , also fuel starvation would cause a misfire rather than reduced speed Edited July 13, 2016 by THE DEAN MACHINE
BWitcher
Certainly not , Kenny of course was always fiercely patriotic and would never have dreamt of not riding in the British final , or not riding in the British Leagues . Kenny Carter was a murderer who denied two young children and their mother of their lives. What he did on a speedway bike is irrelevant.
