SpecialOne
Coventry could well be stronger thanks to the miraculous drop in the averages of their top two over the last month.. Very suspicious, perhaps SCB could take off his rose tinted glasses and enlighten us on this subject?
SCB
Very suspicious, perhaps SCB could take off his rose tinted glasses and enlighten us on this subject? you mean Hans Andersen whos been crap all year. And Chris Harris who form has been pretty steady all season but the quirk of rolling averages from last season has caused his to drop a little this month but still see it go back up again next month without him having to do too much. Chris Harris last 6 meetings have seen him average 7.26. If you assume he'd have got 2 points in the heat at home to Poole his last 6 meetings gives him a 7.55 average - about right for a guy who started on 7.49. Now with bonus points, he's averaging 8.59 - hardly the form of a man dropping his average as there only 4 EL riders with a higher, with bonus points "form" average! As Grachan will tell you, if I have reason to believe Coventry are fiddling I'll speak out against it. In fact, ask Neil Watson and Laurence Rogers what they think of me? I'm not some blow smoke up the clubs backside because it's the one I support - when Coventry Speedway is wrong I'll say so.

I will trust your stats and won't check them myself.
Crazy robin
There already is, it's two... But that's stupid as that is the draft reserves so maybe at least 1 Brit should be in top 5 in future.
SteveLyric2
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the plans and schedule for the EDR's were laid down so everybody knew the score. Instead of which, it appears the BSPA make it up as they go along........... Unfortunately, half thought out ideas, are not the recipe for success..... I think there is a 'longer term plan' as far as the EDRs go, but it surely has to be a bit 'provisional' depending on how the EDR riders perform each season. I guarantee that there will be some Grade A EDRs who will want to stay EDRs rather than be promoted into the 1-5 next year - just as there were at least a couple of EDRs that wanted to be 2nd strings this year but weren't allowed to by their promoters because the club ©wouldn't guarantee them a 1-5 place this year!! stevebrum
you mean Hans Andersen whos been crap all year. His 2015 average of 7.01 (figures from SS) isn't crap. It's below average.
E I Addio
I'd prefer we just went back to the old race format. Still two EDR riders but they'd all start moving into the 1-5 then. The following season we make it 3 EDR riders per team and if Garrity, Newman and Kerr in that time make to heat leader then brilliant, but they're still EDR riders. Should revert to averages too. But ANY Brit without an EL average, moves up on a 3 after the start of next season where they would have to move up on an converted average. So when they move into the 1-5 are you still going to pay them £40 a point ? The point if the original Fast Track scheme was to save money. You can sort of get by with having protected heats but the majority are not going to be able to compete most if the time with bona fide second strings. I am with you in principle but I can't see the finances working and there are not really sufficient quality youngsters coming through. I am beginning to wonder if any scheme is going to work until more quality riders start coming through.
Starman2006
Enjoy your league title. It must be nice to be able to have the British number 4 at reserve all season. They havn't won anything yet. Chickens and Horses spring to mind..

You said yourself recently that a few of the draft riders are beating heat leaders now so they don't need protecting any more. They've all have 2 years of being protected, now they have to be let free to do it properly but still with the protection of knowing they can't be dropped (unless it's for another draft rider)
mdmc82
They havn't won anything yet. Chickens and Horses spring to mind.. Exactly. Poole look just as strong at the moment. Unfortunately in speedway riders could get injured in the 2 months to go. Teams could make changes. Long way to go yet
