screm
I didn't think it was near as bad as some people are making out. Some people expect too much! I assume Edberg's EF in heat 2 was terminal? He was poor (only caught it from heat 3 onwards). I thought he was woeful at Ipswich earlier in the year, but seemed even worse round his home track! Got to give Liam Carr a run out if Edberg doesn't pick up soon. Surely?! As for Jörgensen and Lambert, it seemed like Lambert thought he could do some grasstracking ala Peterborough! He quickly found out that wasn't the case! I think we should be hesitant about putting Carr straight back into PL racing, he did well in last weeks meeting lets not forget he is returning from an injury that many thought would keep him out way longer than it has, at least Carr will give 100% in each race no matter if he is last, something we don't get with Edberg.
Shadders
your Birds gone quiet mate! Bandits4never She didn't see it. She was working the night shift in the cancer ward of a major London Hospital, tending seriously ill and dying patients. Doubt she'd be bothered about the result to be honest

A busy Oncology Ward with a heavy case load of patients was sadly my priority. I'm gutted about that result in all honesty though... but as for bandits4never...try again sunshine.. I ain't a fickle fan... I am doing our mini tour in august.. I hope to make our rerun at Plymouth... I've seen a fair few meetings this season actually. . stevebrum
An average meeting with guests galore and missing riders with plenty of processional racing. Isn't the PL meant to give better racing? No better than most aversge EL matches! ! On a serious note this match didn't live up to the expectations set by the first match from Berwick on SKY. Panthers look like a team with potential champions all over them (besides Somerset!)
To The Point
Well I had a choice last night, cancel my banjo lesson to go to speedway or not. I decided learning to play the banjo gives me more pleasure than speedway at Berwick at the moment, so it was my banjo lesson. This Saturday my stepson and grandson fancy a pint, didn't hesitate. a few bevvies with your family or speeday. no contest.
allthegearbutnaeidea
Flyin Panther, do one will you, Sarah despite living far away from Berwick goes to as many meetings as possible and is one of the most comitted Berwick fans there is, following her team away from home through the good and the bad, low blow that is

Popular as always I do agree though, and you missed one: "One of the best things about the PL is that with a couple of idiotic exceptions we don't have the type of 'supporters' who pollute the EL, and some of whom have brought their poison into this thread." - how did he know that stevebrum was going to post

He quickly found out that wasn't the case! Can't agree that it was Lambert's fault. He was on the inside going into the first bend when Jorgensen dangerously turned left on him and caused the collision. Anywhere else in the race and he would have surely been punished.

Anywhere else in the race and he would have surely been punished.First bend at Berwick is tricky for any rider on the inside f they don't make a superb gate as it is a sharp entrance into the bend and you are always in danger of "catching the back wheel" when you are left with nowhere to go,did not see the crash but maybe young Lamberts first visit to Shielfield caught him out.I can recall several first bend incidents over the years.
Lukas
I agree with Barrow boy..Lambert made it to first bend pretty much level with TJ then TJ turned left and put Lambert up the grass slope which I think is too steep to be next to a speedway track..if it was any other track Lambert would probably had his front wheel over white line and come out of first bend in front..I didn't think it was a bad meeting but then that's probably because I enjoyed watching us smash what I thought was a good Berwick team..Simon Lambo superb..man of the season award already for me..again we chose good guests..and the most amazing thing for me was that panthers all found they're gating gloves again after month of them going missing!..Konopka is a decent gater..but please Ged either help him out with an engine or tell him to pin it more as his first bends ain't to bad so he's half way there!..In terms of Bandits TJ looked as superb as ever but what has happened to R.Hall since I last checked his scores?..for me Berwick looks a great track and stadium and also I think they are mostly all better standard than some of the elite league stadiums..if u can call them that.. (Lakeside, B.Vue).

Goodiepatchie
Sky need to go to Scunthorpe before its too late, one of the best tracks in the country along with Peterborough and Somerset imo and it's going to be very sad to see them go if they do, I hope that the fact that Berwick will be bringing a bus down to the Scunthorpe vs Berwick match will help their bid for survival as it is a track that speedway can't afford to losethey went in 2013 and it was the best meeting I've seen on sky
barrow boy
That is my point you cannot stick your wheel over the white line at Berwick which is something Lambert should have noticed IMO a little inexpieriance IMO .It was his first visit. Jorgensen being the home rider knew there was nowhere for Lambert to go but he still did it. Lambert's bike not having any brakes to slow it down and not having anywhere to go was in a hopeless situation and a bad incident was inevitable. I still blame Jorgensen for being too dangerous.
