Woz01
Not just you, 2 or 3. It's nothing to do with making more money on that particular night. It's something that the sport should be doing as a whole. Using TV as a tool to promote the sport.. instead they use it to damage it. Probably because it was Poole as the away side. I don't think it's a coincidence that two matches that haven't had a reduction have been v Poole. Usually Coventry and Kings Lynn biggest crowds of the season? I can understand why they didn't. Any other side then I'm sure Coventry in particular a reduction would have happened. Coventry usually run a couple of cheaper matches a season.

mike1944
King's Lynn will be in for some great crowds just going there to see Bjerre ride, what a performer. I can see him going places
scottyfan
Interesting comments from Middlo with regards to Rob Lyon moaning during the meeting @middlo57: Saying how sky were on our side couldn't do his track .i thought was a great meeting and we lost!! Middlo was talking about Buster Chapman NOT Rob Lyon.

I can see him going places Bit unfair on the lad. So he is having a rough old time, dont we all. Sometimes we dont always perform how we want to, do we Mike ? SteveLyric2
Middlo was talking about Buster Chapman NOT Rob Lyon. Buster's on the BSPA MC too!!! You'd have thought he'd have had some influence! So the 'good but very different track' had nothing to do with Buster then - all down to Big Red Ron?
robert72
Poole are usually Swindon's biggest draw also.....Swindon v Poole is £10 on 13th July Look at Leicester on Monday they reduced admission and the fans and newbies came out in large numbers. Coventry,Lakeside & Kings Lynn should learn from Swindon & Leicester

BWitcher
Really, take it Swindon & Leicester will be absolutely rammed when the pricing goes back up? Again, missing the point entirely. What a stupid comment ,,,,,,,,,,, doubtless made by someone whose greatest risk-take in life was getting his underpants on back to front........................... way to go SUPERMAN !! He actually made a very valid comment, unlike yours. If you hire a builder and he shows little interest in the job, or is simply downright awful, I assume you don't question him if you've never built anything yourself. mrss
He might as well be laying bricks because he's useless at speedway.
Daniel Smith
Again, missing the point entirely Really, Leicester & Swindon won't increase their attendance after cheap tickets. Lakeside did a meeting on Sky for a £5 a few seasons back didn't they? Worked well didn't it?!? King's Lynn's attendances barely get affected by Sky meetings so why should we reduce the cost exactly? What is the point apart from clubs losing money?

If every week Joe Bloggs tunes in and sees a big crowd having fun at a speedway meeting he's going to be more inclined to go along himself. Or, he can tune in briefly every week, see a deserted stadium and continue the current perception of speedway is definitely not the place to be. It really is basic marketing.
